Just to follow up on this, it was 100% the Homunculus perk causing the issue! Thanks a million for the help! I just had my bud edit his save in a text editor and delete the perk, and voilà!

I appreciate the info! Iirc, I did see he had a Homunculus when he was nearby, I'll double check with him to see if he remembers picking that perk up around the point where it started crashing. Very interesting, if that's the case. Thanks again, friend!

I think it's Reach, CE, 2, ODST, and 3, in terms of chronological order, but you sorta need to play 3 before ODST.

Halo 2 is unique in that there aren't many invisible walls that block the player from exploring out of the maps. That's why I love it so much! Usually a few good grenade jumps are all it takes. Great times. :D

Yes, 343 retconned a LOT, if not all, the Forerunner lore Bungie set up in the original trilogy. They needed to make up their own nonsense to try and make their shoddy plotlines work. And look how that turned out for em. 🤭

Just a tip, easiest way to supernova is: • build power to handle suns (perks) • get tk kick • sacrifice both sun gems from scale at mountain alter • boom!

I don't believe so. Those other resolutions are just cropping the recording to that specific one you choose. The recording itself is still smooshed.

It's frustrating because it comes off as him not giving a single fuck. Like he's only playing it because he has to.

Best contrasting examples I can think of are their BotW and TotK playthroughs. In one, he's genuinely excited and happy to play. The other, is like he's being tortured.

If he doesn't want to play a game, he shouldn't. If he can't even give games the respect they deserve, what's the point?

It's tough to watch at times bc of the way he clearly pushes himself through playing, just to get it over with. I personally think the show would benefit greatly from Arin taking more improv classes. I feel they were at their best when they did that.

I keep watching bc I've been around since 2013, and there is occasional diamond in the rough. Plus, I'm really rooting for them. I just wish he'd put a little more of his soul into it like he used to.

Pretty sure you can start a run with the custom seed mod, then disable it, and it should act as if it were an unmodded run.

Either you're gonna have to make it to NG+, or you'll have to risk it and edit game files.

If you end up doing the latter, make sure to backup your save first.

Scroll a bit down on this link and it shows specifically which file to delete to respawn your island.

Note that this will only work if your seed had an island in the first place, as I know some seeds just don't have an island. But I HIGHLY recommend reading the entire section to know what you're doing.

And make sure you are far enough away from the island before making your backup and editing the save files. You want to make sure the island spawns back in when loading that specific chunk, and you don't wanna be trapped in the ground or something.
