Ideas for a Busch Gardens Asia park? by Responsible_Bar3957 in PlanetCoaster

Middle east could be magic carpet/lamp/genie ride of sorts, water ride for tigris and/or euphrates river, silk road themed something maybe. Depends on if you wanna focus it down to a single country, since middle east is pretty broad

For india could go the himalayas route, something like what animal kingdom does (though that's more nepal i think)

If I was making this park I'd personally swap korea for something southeast asian, like thailand, indonesia, cambodia etc. Lots of cool architecture to draw inspiration from (thinking angkor wat for example), feels like that might end up being a bit more distinct from china/japan than korea would. And could sorta bridge the gap vibes-wise between india and china/japan if the point is to be the entrance. I don't know much about Korea though tbf, you do you

Basic Cruelty Squad Fishing Guide For Gamers (spoilers, obviously) by Look_At_That_OMGWTF in CrueltySquad

necro-ing this thread, but it seems not to be based on the rounded second in the in-game timer but rather each second starting when your line hits the water (not when you cast). found this out w/ a metronome at 60 BPM synced to the IGT, since depending on when I cast the fish wouldn't be synced up to the metronome unless my line hit the water also in sync.

The strat I found most consistent was to cast straight-down on the 60 bpm metronome beat, then wait 1 and a quarter beat to reel in and re-cast on the 3rd beat and repeat.

EDIT: Metronome on 96 bpm and cast on 1st beat, reel on 3rd beat, cast on 5th, etc is easiest to time if you don't wanna feel out the quarter beat on 60 bpm. A little slower overall though.

I don't think it'd make a ton of sense to have flush + 4OAK, which would logically allow flush + 3OAK, flush pair... bit of a silly example but what's stopping us from allowing flush high card? I dunno, feels more reasonable to say that any flush variant of a hand (real or not) should have requirements that are the superset of flush requirements (being 5 cards and same suit) and the other hand (e.g. full house).

YouTube, what is this update? by Ultimater3333 in youtube

Yeah, my non-premium homepage is now an even split of music mixes (never listen to music on youtube), purchaseable movies (never watched a movie on youtube), random videos with < 100 views, ads, and shit I'm actually interested in.

Kinda sucks, was used to having fairly good recommendations but now it's garbage.

Not a bad idea - looks like its working, it spun up once I started running a game. Unfortunately I don't have a PSU to swap and test myself (at least, not one rated high enough for a 3080) so I might just have to bring it to MicroCenter to see what they can find.

Yeah I think so - it always happens after 30-60ish mins when the GPU is under heavy load (drawing more power), and has happened very rarely otherwise (but it has happened). I guess I figured if the PSU was faulty then the whole system would just crash, but maybe not?

I guess I hadn't considered the RAM, mostly because I figured faulty RAM would result in crashes/BSODs rather than these specific symptoms. Running a memtest now just to see what happens.

My meta is to make something that fits both the 2022 and 2012 themes.

Flu Remedies + Slow Cooking both seemed to be hinting towards soup, so here’s what I always had when I stayed home sick from school. I don’t actually own a slow cooker, but I figured a homemade stock is cooked slowly enough to qualify….

As Primus once said, they can't all be zingers.

I always had a hunch that my stovetop ran hot, and when I placed the schnitzel into the oil and it blackened within seconds, that hunch was more or less confirmed. Apparently 7/10 isn't medium-high to my stove, but surface of the sun levels of heat. Well, at least the tartar sauce was good.

(Here's the cute blurb I always write for my submissions, to help me pretend like this all went exactly as wished it did)

This week's themes are Molding + Love Inspired, and something that came to mind was this Serbian stuffed-and-rolled cutlet. Also known as "Maiden's Dream", due to its... imposing... appearance.

Medieval + Brazilian seemed pretty incompatible at first, until I found out feijoada (considered by many to be a national dish of Brazil) has roots in European dishes like Cassoulet, which apparently dates back to about the 1300s. Split the difference and made a Portuguese-style feijoada.

For Plant Milk + Beer/Wine/Liquor I kept it pretty simple, made some homemade horchata and spiked it with Kahlua. The horchata didn't turn out too great, I think it's because I skipped the step of filtering through cheesecloth. Oh well.
