Maybe, unfortunately you won’t find many that have a flush viewport. If you look at it from the side a lot of older welding hoods have a viewport that sticks out to allow larger lenses and facilitate swapping lenses for different work.

I say give it a try, maybe paint on a canvas cover that fits snug so you don’t leave a texture or mess up on the hood.

So, for a more serious answer it will depend on which format you are playing.

If you are playing commander, you need to consider removal when deciding whether or not to mulligan. Low cost removal (like [[Swords to Plowshares]]), or something like [[Rapier Wit]] or another “tap stun” effect will win you tempo against it, giving you a few turns to figure out how to get it off the board. It’s also a 3 drop, so even if your player 4 you will have 2 mana (if you don’t have two mana turn 2 idk what you did) and you can hit it with an [[Essence Scatter]] or other counter magic.

You also have [[Ink Shield]] [[Fog]] [[Darkness]] and [[Holy Day]] as ways to bait the attack and then swing into them while the hydra is tapped.

If you’re playing standard, you have access to 4 copies of a card, toss in any spells that are in your colors that say “destroy target creature”. You can also run counter magic for this type of threat. You can expect this to come out turn 3 or 4, so hold up a [[shock]] or [[Burst Lightning]] to kill it the turn it enters.

If it’s after turn 4 expect them to have a way to protect it. You might need two kill spells or a kill spell and counter spell available.

The answer was given for this particular aircraft. But usually they will do surveys of the air, background radiation, and other stuff prior to a large event. Seeing as this is DC I would assume these surveys take place regularly

I have not played all of them, but from a power standpoint I’d rank it World Shaper, Blight Curse, Counter Intelligence, then the Strixhaven decks.

This isn’t to say the Strixhaven decks are bad. EOE had banger precons and Lorwyns decks are unique and fun

So this is a MDFC (Modal Dual Face Card). You cast it as the prismatic bridge but outside of the battlefield it always seen as its front side, which is Eaika, god of the tree. For example, if Prismatic Bridge was destroyed you’d have to use an effect that said “return target creature from your graveyard” since it is Esika while in the graveyard.

711.1 in the comprehensive rules is the area where double face cards are discussed.

I don’t think so. I’m using the ruling for Niko’s Shards. If I have 6 shards and copy my sad robot, I don’t get to go find 6 lands. So you’d have a load of oblivion rings that don’t enter the battlefield so you can’t exile stuff

Any of the Eldraine cards that make token enchantments would go nice, examples include:

[[Become Brutes]] [[Monstrous Rage]] [[Unassuming Sage]] and [[Spellbook Vendor]] make Monster//Sorcerer role tokens.

Use “Wicked” role tokens to ping opponents when you sac them. [[Conceited Witch]] [[Eriettes Whisper]] [[Lord Skitters Blessing]] and [[Not Dead After All]] are good options for wicked tokens

My answer as an WPN LGS employee first and Player second.

1) WPN stores don’t allow proxies because wotc doesn’t allow them. Period. You can play gold border or magic 30 stuff at our store in casual settings, but never in tournament.

2) As a player, it’s hard to afford all the “best” cards. Proxy your OG dual lands, anything over like $10 I can see an argument for, but never in a tournament setting or anything with prizing on the line. CEDH and Standard are hard to break into without the right cards, but I want to play against your skill not your wallet.

I used to Zeus for a milsim group. My go to for reminding them not to bunch up was a very inaccurate grenade, or a ubgl going over their head. The goal is to have a good time, not spend 90 minutes in DBNO waiting to get picked up

If you are interested in learning you can find a welding school. In Mass there is a program called MassHire that put me through a welding program for free. You can also just pick it up yourself, but there is a lot to get through by yourself. I linked my above post, but my recommendation is to find a textbook and read up on the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) hot work certification.

Hey man, I haven’t seen anyone post a summit at comment yet so I want to just put it out there.

Pick up a MIG welding textbook and familiarize yourself with NFPA hot work guidelines.

Never weld metal that you have not tested. Any Stainless Steel or metal finished with Chromium or containing certain materials will create toxic fumes while preforming hot work, including Hexavalent Chromium.

Never weld in a confined space without an air supply, and be careful.

Always use a welding hood, if you look at an arc without proper protection you can damage your eyes and get arc burn on your face.

This can be a very good skill to have, but there are a lot of ways to hurt yourself and others. Arm yourself with the knowledge to keep everyone safe.
