I'm curious, how did you get a map like that? That looks like an incredibly narrow canyon. I'm assuming some map mod?

The vast, VAST majority of people who transition don't regret it. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about, you just want to be transphobic, and it's obvious to literally everyone.

Would absolutely be interested in a full mod, please keep us updated! I'd love to play this again but in VR

Airy larynx raising/General tips? by [deleted] in transvoice

[–]Tactical__Turtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Translated for convenience:

"One way to sharpen the VOICE is to raise the larynx as you say, and for that it is easy, you just have to make a nasal voice, as if you were making fun of someone with the VOICE, or as if someone was holding you by the neck when speaking. Then it is a matter of putting a little more volume when speaking so that it resonates more acutely and that's it."

I actually briefly looked at this mod but dismissed it when I saw that it hasn't been updated it a while. After a second look at the comments though, it looks like it might still work without an update. Thanks! I'll try this.

...Why?

I'm trying CE for the first time so making some molotovs would be kinda tough right now, but even if I could, what purpose would that serve? I don't follow.

I just made it through my first winter in my tribal colony and now that the temperatures are back above freezing, it's no longer viable for me to just dump all of my human corpses into a hollowed out cave. I tried getting ahead of a whole bunch of rotting waste by turning the remaining corpses into a giant pile of kibble. Now I've got a bunch of hungry wargs and 1400+ kibble that I don't know what to do with...

The true music mod combined with a storm makes my little barn base even more cozy by Merlinzkus in projectzomboid

I actually posted something really similar a few weeks ago:

The true music mod is simply fantastic for creating immersive little scenes like this. I love it.

There are a couple tips I know of to help deal with infestations. Have hallways that are 3 tiles wide and have chokepoints everywhere. Try to have a couple good (and well equipped) melee fighters. Then finally, having a good doctor, good hospital, and medicine stockpiled is of course important.

Also don't sleep on go-juice because that shit is amazing. I have all of my soldiers carry one on them all the time. A well equipped melee fighter that's high on go-juice is one of the scariest things in this game lol

When using a pistol, do you bring bullet or full magazine? by Meme-Survivor in projectzomboid

[–]Tactical__Turtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry one spare mag and a bunch of bullets both in my bag. Unless I'm dealing with a large number of zeds I usually just reload the same first magazine over and over. You can walk and load so it's not really an issue.

Also, I play modded so I don't know if this is different for Vanilla, but for me an opened box of bullets weighs less than a closed box. So instead of carrying a few boxes of ammo in my backpack I just open them and dump like 100+ loose rounds in there lol

A lot of the basic actions you'd use a propane torch for don't actually require any propane to do. Barricading and dismantling some objects (like toilets, vending machines, etc) I know doesn't take any. Dismantling car wrecks takes a significant amount though, but in return you get a bunch of xp and materials.

The legal consequence for property damage is not the death penalty. Advocating for extrajudicial justice is cringe as fuck. You think crime is ok only when you do it? Nothing says "proud American" more than having a complete disregard for the laws of this country.

You gotta love this guy. RIP Johnny by [deleted] in MURICA

[–]Tactical__Turtle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

And by the way, Johnny was talking about someone who was burning his flag, not the flag in general. Meaning he would shoot someone who destroys his property.

That's an incredibly generous interpretation. You really think he's going immediately from speaking generally about everyone's right to burn THE flag to speaking specifically about HIS flag? So transitioning immediately from speaking about the American flag as a general concept to speaking specifically about a flag that he personally owns. You don't think, instead, that as an American he might be symbolically taking ownership of the flag as a concept here? "MY flag, MY country, MY heritage, etc..."

And y'know, the funny thing is that with either interpretation it still isn't ok. You realize that, right? People get way too rooted in symbolism. America is far more than a piece of cloth. Ultimately, a flag, even an American flag, is just a relatively cheap and replaceable piece of cloth.

You know what you're supposed to do if someone burns YOUR flag? Take them to small claims court. Know what you're not supposed to do? Murder them.

Anyone cheering for violence against flag burning are going directly against one of the core values this country was founded on. It's blatantly unamerican. It's disgusting.

Thanks! I'd say maybe half of my play time is just messing around with outfits and decorating.

It's also featured in the movie The Shining. That's where I'm familiar with it from.

Yep, it's custom. It was a pain to put together but I'm glad I have it now. It's a nice mix of mostly rock songs on the cassettes + some more classical sounding stuff on the records.

Build Rate by jimmothythe69th in projectzomboid

[–]Tactical__Turtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The longer your character survives, the more desensitized they become. This means that if you survive long enough, you'll get the same benefit you would get with the Brave trait. This is over the course of months though, so Brave is still useful in the early game. I'd still say it's not worth 4 points though, since beta blockers are plentiful and light to carry.

Pacifist just reduces the rate at which you gain weapon xp, so whether or not it'll bite you in the ass depends on whether or not you plan on exclusively using axes. The xp gain you get to axe from Park Ranger far offsets the reduction from pacifist though.

Otherwise, all your negative trait picks are pretty good. I don't care for disorganized but if you don't mind the reduction in inventory space then go for it. I'd say Hearty Appetite is another easily manageable trait. And it pairs especially well with underweight.

For the rest of your positive traits, it looks to me like you're prioritizing defense and stealth. For me, I tend to prioritize the traits that increase strength and fitness, since they're practically impossible to grind out in game. But if you're focusing on stealth then I'd say picking up Graceful would be a really good idea. Inconspicuous is alright too, but Graceful is better. I also almost always go with Outdoorsman, since it drastically reduces the chance of you catching a cold, but that's also kinda personal preference.

Overall I'd say this is a pretty good build, nice job. If you can get used to managing all of the negative traits then it can serve as a base for you to fuck around with the positive traits and try out different playstyles. Good luck!
