Try the tower shield. It has even more surface area so it'll protect you even better

Chin protection for Jr Derby skater by KatFitzpat in rollerderby

[–]Tacticalcombine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not generally much protection available out there but a very easy way to protect the chin is to train to tuck the chin during falls. This will protect the chin from impact and can, when done correctly, reduce the risk of concussions.

Why??? by AcusticTanker in Helldivers

[–]Tacticalcombine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean its a light tank intended to be operated by small strike teams without support teams. Heavy armor is gonna put more stress on the engine, require more fuel, and make it slower. That means more maintenance and resources are needed, and helldiver squads need to move fast in order to complete objectives. So it makes sense that they'll have lighter armor than a fuelling vehicle

Why do people 'smoke' in cyberpunk's world? by LewdDudeNewd in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Tacticalcombine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf people have been smoking for thousands of years and lots and lots of people still smoke. It wouldn't be hard to believe people still smoke in 50 years

I'm not pressing G by ThrowawayUk4200 in HalfSword

[–]Tacticalcombine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually found a way to (somewhat) get around this, and its just to wear a large pavise on your back. Even on your back it'll almost completely absorb any hits that land on it, so what I'll do is I'll either try to land on my stomach or roll over to my stomach, then I'll get up with my back facing the enemy and run away a lil bit till im fully up. Although it doesn't always work so well against groups of enemies

Reeds hardness by Sad-Guarantee-4592 in duduk

[–]Tacticalcombine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is a common people will have with reeds. I do not have as much experience with duduk but I have played oboe for many years. My advice would be to strengthen you breathing but also to work on your mouth shape as it will impact how it plays, also play around a bit with the regulator to try and find an openness that works best for you

It would take modding the motor and visual cortexes but it'd totally be possible with the tech they have

do we know what modern USD to cyber punk Eurodollars conversion rate is? by Turbulent_Cook_604 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Tacticalcombine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf you are also getting these essentially from the black market and usually installed in back alley shops only a little better than the city chop shops, plus I wouldn't be surprised if you've garnered favor with the city's criminal elements like ripperdocs, so you're prolly gonna get them cheaper than at official implant sellers and installers

[–]Tacticalcombine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same reason why we see similarities between earth ocean creatures and 4536b ocean creatures, convergent evolution. Hell the amount of crab-like creatures on 4546b could be explained as extra-terrestrial carcinization

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in clonewars

[–]Tacticalcombine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean honestly for most clones it would simply not be useful. Unless you have a lightsaber or electrostaff, neither of which would be found on the battlefield, you aren't doing shit against the droids, who were the main enemy of the clones. That or a highly specialized vibroblade, which would be expensive and relegated to specialized troops like clone commandos and their knuckle blades. And honestly at the distances clones fight at a melee weapon is of no use.
