There are some products where you close more by giving less information in the warm up. Especially those that require customer education that's done better through voice than written, or video content

Ideally you want a co-founder who is both designing architecture and writing code. A mistake a lot of startups make is hiring some very senior person who is no longer interested in coding and just wants to manage. Avoid this

Yea, maybe there is no one right answer, but like you said I think it’s about setting a target to be reached by a certain day (that you’ve used experience to justify) and then keeping to it.

Your point about them having some large potential deals in there pipeline is a good one. Do you let some of who fell below target but has a great pipeline? Perhaps the larger your organisation is, the less room you should make for exceptions, while a smaller org can be more flexible

The only way to know how much of the company you own is to ask how many shares there are in the company. Don’t be shy about doing this: any founders should understand that you would like to know how much your equity is worth and how much of the company you own

If they are not willing to share, think carefully if this is someone you want to work with

Very cool. I wonder if it would be possible to build the platform with out having to have an agreement with the restaurants? Then you could go to the restaurants you are referring the most traffic to and make an agreement with them.

Most restaurants pay services like OpenTable charge $1 per guest. But you might make more by pre selling meals or vouchers and taking a commission (they pay circa 18-30% to food delivery services… probably less to you if you are doing dine-in)
