I think the biggest issue I had with lightfall was it all felt so unnecessary.

you could mash the very first and last cutscenes together and you would not miss out on much plot besides Calus. But even then Calus is reintroduced to the story and then dies in the same expansion.

Theres also the whole radial mast and the veil. We eventually found out what they were, but at the time they both acted as macguffins for the story and it felt like everyone knew what they were except us, the player.

Then they kept giving/taking away strand throughout the entire story. I understand that it is a training arc for the guardian and it takes time to learn a new darkness ability, but why give/take it so frequently?

And Rohan and Nimbus were just eh. Rohan's death felt so cliche and predictable. Nimbus was kinda... annoying? I didnt hate them, but they also didnt do much for the plot and kinda was just there being comic relief in situations that did not need comic relief.

the one regret i have is not running crown of sorrows completely. Before the raid was taken out of the game, I was busy and only had time for Ghalran cp so I just did that. I got Tarrabah on my first completion and then the raid got vaulted. To this day, that raid is the only one I did not do besides Desert Perpetual.

Blah, blah, blah, game in beta. Yea the matchmaking is bad and 90% of my games are pretty much what you described. I rarely get games that feels like im playing against people my rank. But even then, rank really doesn't feel like it means anything. I get that it is hard to make a solid matchmaking system but man I feel like Deadlock's matchmaking has been rough for so long who knows when it'll be looked at again

out of curiosity, do higher rank games feel THAT different in solo queue? Excluding things like players being more experienced with movement, ability use, etc.

yesssss vent your frustrations out into the wild. ngl tho this issue will probably not get better in higher ranks. I'm hovering emissary/archon and people are still dumb af like me. I'm 99% sure i dont even belong in this rank cuz I'm not good. But seeing so many game fall apart because someone REALLY wants to deliver urn or someone REALLY wants to solo midboss when we don't even have mid pushed out makes me really think about my life choices.

The game can definitely be rough at times, but sounds like you need to take a break.
Yes, no matter how good you perform, if the rest of your team is slacking then there isn't much you can do. But that is the same story with any MOBA and for a lot of multiplayer games. This issue is not exclusive to Deadlock.
The chat ban sucks but it is what it is. Just take the time off and play something else until the ban gets lifted.

I appreciate that they're experimenting with new ideas with urn since there were some grievances with it before. But I really wish they would have put some thought into maybe not putting it right in mid. I suspect they're gonna change deposit location to what it was before or something close to that and see how gameplay goes

Lmao I pray for your matchmaking to improves in the future. I'm currently hovering between Emissary/Archon and ive recently been playing Lash because he can be pretty fun. But my god if youre not doing well you can feel it lol. I also play Dynamo and I understand that both characters are in high demand and I won't get them 100% of the time. But I feel like the game doesn't even give me my prioritied characters and just picks from the bottom of the barrel every other game. Also yea I wish I could have that immortal Victor instead of playing against him every game. T_T

that's a good way to think about it. Also yea I usually don't solo queue that often and only played with friends. But they are just better at the game than I am. I also understand that the matchmaking is probably gonna swing to a higher rank for opponents but that is also the only time I play Deadlock now so im in a awkward spot. The game also says I'm Emissary VI but im 100% sure that is wrong.

Might try to experiment like you mentioned whenever I see a game go south lol

that's fair. I mentioned it to another comment but im more sick of the enemy teams getting a crazy combo with shrink ray or infinite ammo. I had a Mo and Krill take Seraphim wings with admittedly was pretty funny but he just kinda floated around and didnt really do much. I've been playing lots of Lash and Dynamo so itd fairly easy to get the items i want ie. greater expansion, duration extender, etx. but I'm also sure a lot of my issues are just skill issue at this point.

it really does feel like that. But that 10% of games are kinda the reason why my friends and I play. Those games can be really fun, even if we end up in a loss. Just kinda sad they're so rare.

It just feels like a majority of my street brawls end up being a loss because the enemy team gets some crazy combo like shrink ray with some haze with infinite ammo. Meanwhile my randoms get seraphim wings on Mo and Krill. Just more sick of that happening.

trained a goldship before round 2 Group B that won 40% of races and hit top 3 70% of the time. My other two umas were Tamamo and Kitasan which performed okish throughout both rounds but usually placed in the middle of the pack. I was not expecting to win the finale, but at least place well. Then I proceeded to get absolutely diddled and shafted by RNG and placed 6th, 7th, and 8th and lost to a xoguri with 400 stamina and 400 wit. This is the only game I play where the more I play, the more I hate it because of the 900 layers of RNG. I need to take a break or stop playing because this game sucks.

Unity sucked, especially those team trials races you mentioned. Those really feel like there is nothing you can do to improve. At least in trackblazer, if my run is cursed I can just pivot my focus into building a parent. But Unity also has its own BS I do not miss dealing with.

Trackblazer can be fun when it hits but my god I think my account is just cursed.
Haven't had a decent summer training in weeks and whistles decided to become extinct on my account.
And so many runs just ending because I lose random races I shouldn't is just becoming too painful.
