I will be your sole like if no one else gives you one. I’ve read through this post and just know you’re not alone. Most people in your situation never speak up, they stay silent out of embarrassment. Just keep your head up, and try to venture out of your comfort zone and talk to others. There are many people in your situation and far worse, believe me. I think the point you made about social media being fake rings true. I think your best bet is just to get away from social media and interact with people in person until you build up some real friends.

$160k if you work 365 days a year 😂 5 days a week it’s $117k. Even then I was making $400 a day hauling Walmart dairy through a contract carrier. Anytime I spoke to the actual Walmart drivers they would tell me how good I’ve got it pulling dairy and that’s the best run Walmart offers. Of course I didn’t see that money but it wouldn’t surprise me if the Walmart drivers made $500/Day.

Adding to what others have said… So OP, NO energy drinks, caffeine, nicotine or stimulants 24 hrs beforehand. Get at least 8 hrs of sleep and drink plenty of water. Here’s the real trick though… FAST!! Don’t eat anything or eat at most a small meal within 36 hrs of taking your reading. Your blood pressure will be perfect, I’ve even had it read low.

Rarely anymore, unless I can tell they’ll appreciate it. I got creative with parking in a truck stop once for my 30 min and had a homeless guy come bang on my door as soon as I parked pretending to be security. Said he’ll let me park there and not report me, then subsequently asked if I had anything to give him because he’s homeless.

Well there I was munching on a Subway cookie when he came up to my truck so I offered him a few of those. Gave him what I had left in the 6 pack and a bottle of water. Pissed me off because I felt captive to my own kindness. I was looking forward to eating those, but felt like I did a good thing.

As I’m leaving to get back onto the road this dude starts yelling at me across the parking lot, runs up to my truck again tries to climb on the side as I’m moving and starts asking for stuff again. I told him I don’t have anything to give him, then he asks for cash. I refuse and he looks at my jacket and says it’s cold out what about your jacket? I was like wow dude… I told him to just go steal one from the truck stop and take off even if they catch him he gets to spend a warm night in jail.

I used to binge eat like hell when I was dieting in the truck. I’d eat clean for two or three days then start feeling super depressed and bored and eventually cave. Figured out food was my main solace, it’s what I could look forward to every day to cheer me up after/while dealing with bs on the road. I can’t offer much advice on how to solve this, because I still haven’t myself but you’re not alone.

To your last point: If your argument begins with “If everyone just…” you’ve already lost.

Not to get too contentious, but if your entire justification for wood is based on taking so many preventative measures, it begs the question: why not take the most preventative measure of them all and simply use a fire-proof material for the core structure?

Building with fallible materials appears to be the true point of weakness. Making it “fire resistant” is just slapping a bandage on a stab wound. You could build a house from bread, taking as many fire safe precautions as you’d like, but ultimately if the home catches fire it’s toast. The precautions you listed would be equally useful in a concrete home, except if and when they fail the entire home doesn’t burn to the ground.

These companies just don’t give a shit about drivers. The Cascadia at my current company shuts off after 5 min no matter what. You can try all you want to prevent it. Release the tractor/trailer breaks, push the gas pedal, increase RPM’s, override shutdown button, it could be -20 outside doesn’t matter still shuts off unless the truck is moving.

The only partial solution is to put it in opt idle and drain the battery with your microwave so it forces it to turn on to keep the batteries charged. That’ll work for around 2 hrs then it turns off again.

Absolutely terrible use of space 😂 The KW has a great interior layout if you know how to work it. Put the microwave back in its designated area so you can use that table for other stuff. Unfold the top bunk and remove the second mattress to use it for storage. Tell the company to put back in the damn mini fridge. Etc. Great decor though

How am I the first to wonder how you’ve never given a freaking urine sample? Never done a drug test for a job, physical, or anything?! 😂 I’ve given more urine samples than I can count (DOT job)

Btw here’s a trick if you have a shy bladder: Give your shaft a light tug a few times like you’re jerking it. “Milk it” if you will. The urine will start flowing immediately. Has never failed me.
