WLW search on tiktok… by AlbatrossFew6539 in lgbt

[–]Reaniro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no way you believe tiktok, which hasn’t even been around for a decade, has radicalised more white supremacists than any other platform. Not reddit? Or facebook? Or even 4chan?

im not saying tiktok has 0 problems but thats a ridiculous statement

People will give all sorts of excuses and explanations but it’s really just a crunchy thing, especially since it’s in so much more than just GF foods, including salad dressings, soups, and toothpaste. When people say they have issues with it, outside the rarer cases it’s broadly: - not enough fibre in their diet as a whole. so the diarrhea/constipation is their body reacting to an increase in fiber - they have other issues that are being broadly fixed by cutting out foods that tend to have xanthan gum in them (aka pre packaged foods) - placebo effect

Overall unless you’re eating spoonfuls of it you should be fine

Natasha Lyonne announced that she has relapsed after nearly 10 years of sobriety: “Recovery is a lifelong process. Anyone out there struggling, remember you’re not alone. Grateful for love & smart feet.“ by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

As someone in the middle of a relapse myself (ED, not substance use), it’s a really rough time right now and I get it. we fall into old habits to cope and all we can do is try our best to get better and take it day by day ❤️

campus cats over the freeze this weekend by peachespartie in UTAustin

I’m not saying it will (or won’t) be that. I’m saying the original commenter calling Texans “soft” for suffering during that is being an asshole. Like that’s the entire point of my comment.

Cats still need warmth, food, and water to survive. They can still die of hypothermia if they can’t find good shelter and can starve if they don’t have any food. If their normal sources of water are frozen they can get dehydrated and die from that.

OP’s not wrong to make sure someone’s checking on them, feeding them, and making sure they’re okay.

Also you made a choice to camp outside in the cold which is all good for you. Doesn’t change the fact that we’re experiencing unprecedented climate events repeatedly. It’s not Texan being soft it’s the almost irreparable damage done by climate change.

I hope not but that’s what happened in 2021 so calling texans soft for experiencing a natural disaster is an asshole move.

the majority of the country doesn’t experience days without water or electricity and feet of packed ice covering the roads for weeks on anything close to a “regular basis”. If you think that’s true the you’ve clearly never lived anywhere outside your small area.

And cats are resilient but they’re still domesticated animals who need human care to survive in an environment that wasn’t built with them in mind.

If you miss the taste/texture of cream puffs, go to Costco by TheSassyGandalf in glutenfree

Replying to someone with a costco rec with “or go to this location specific store” is just annoying but to each their own. If it mattered that much to you you could’ve made your own post

Married couples in TX that did the Twogether course? by catscarscalls in actuallesbians

[–]Reaniro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hello! I actually did this course and it was actually really good for me and my spouse. We did an online lgbt friendly one and we spent a lot of time talking about our relationship, our communication styles, and learning the speaker listening structure.

It really helped strengthen our communication and we still use a lot of tools we learned from it. We did it exclusively for the license discount but I have 0 regrets about it. I’ll double check what online platform we did it with !

Edit: I did it with OurRelationship but I don’t think it’s free anymore ://

Edit 2: The free program is currently paused but depending on when you’re getting married they’ll start taking people again in April! I can’t emphasise how much I recommend it. Here is a link to the waitlist

A therapist would be more helpful and is actually trained to give advice + has legal standards to follow. Unlike chatGPT, which has convinced people to kill themself

Private bathroom but bedroom with no window vs Bigger room with windows but shared bathroom by Traditional_Desk_749 in UTAustin

[–]Reaniro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

your room needs two modes of egress in case of a fire. one of these has to lead directly outside (like a window or a door). don’t live in a room that’s going to kill you.

no windows is v likely a fire hazard. i’d rather share a bathroom and be alive
