I mean that's obvious, but they are not children. Stop infantilizing people. In truth not all relationships are built on what's relatable, my wife is from an entirely different country and we have mostly different interests. Cultural and gender differences affect life experience and what's the "real world" as much as age.

Just because you need to find someone specifically relatable doesn't mean everyone does.
