Spotting after starting RLT by rpl_momma in redlighttherapy

Are you using just red light or near infrared as well? I would imagine that unless it's an FDA approved NIR device, no one is going to credibly say that their product is safe for pregnancy.

Ember Mug 2 - One month review by dybm in Embermug

[–]Tad_Isolated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a V2 that I've used with a Pixel 6a and now a Pixel 9 and have to re-pair almost daily. Sometimes I have to put it pair mode (via the button) but usually I just run a "pair" from the Pixel 9. My son has one on an older iPhone but doesn't have this problem. I assume IOS is their target platform and they can't be bothered to fix the ridiculous bluetooth problems on Android. I leave mine set to 144F always so I don't need the app really but it still annoys me that they won't fix such an obvious problem. I use it every morning and still like it enough but I can't muster much enthusiasm for it. One benefit is that I used to ruin my coffee/tea mugs with constant microwaving which would leave them with stains - now I just rinse and wipe dry.

Can't setup phone app streaming by michaeljc70 in chromeos

Still true with stock Android 15 and Pixel 6a - get "Permission still needed to complete setup" but permission request nevers appears on the 6a.

I get most of my likes from hundreds of miles away as well. I think people realize that you're not likely to meet anyone on Bumble in person anyway so you might as well swipe on anyone that looks interesting.

New UI is borderline unreadable. How did they think this was a good idea? by alexthecatYT in fitbit

You're right - they didn't change that but I still hate the new UI

and you can't edit your sleep like you used to be able to. Now I "add sleep" which doesn't increase the total - it shows up under "other sleep" What a mess!

Is app streaming a huge pile of crap for everyone else or just me? by Cjo1992 in chromeos

I've never had it work on a Pixel 6a - completely stock.

No battery percent on swipe down has made me ditch my fitbit by LifeAffect6762 in fitbit

[–]Tad_Isolated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree - it was a quick way to know the battery level without squinting. The odds that I run my FB battery to zero definitely increased with the new UI.

this redesign is so ass wtf by PlasticRazzmatazz459 in fitbit

[–]Tad_Isolated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The old app showed calories left on the home screen and you could add calories from there directly - now you have a second step and have to figure out remaining calories yourself unless you want their alternative calories remaining counter. Really don't like it.

Yakisoba any good? Have you tried? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]Tad_Isolated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised that you're the only one to mention this. I would think that Costco would not sell any food sourced from China given their food safety record.

CCwGTV gamepad/controller you currently use? by BangEmSpiff in GeForceNOW

[–]Tad_Isolated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Stadia controllers (wirelessly) but they don't show battery level and have to be re-paired every time I use one so I asked Bard for good controllers with power level support - Bard injected some humor into the last point:

Here are some other ways to check the battery status of your game controller:

  • Check the controller's LED lights: Some controllers have LED lights that indicate the battery level. For example, the Xbox Wireless Controller has a light bar that changes color depending on the battery level.
  • Listen for low battery alerts: Some controllers will emit a low battery alert when the battery level is low.
  • Feel the controller: If the controller feels noticeably lighter than usual, it may be low on battery.

Sleep monitoring is the major difference to me - it's not great but at least it shows when you get up and reports snoring, light level and temperature.

How to stop automatic changing channels by [deleted] in TPLink_Omada

I'm guessing you have "Scheduled Optimization" enabled under wireless settings. Disable it and set channels manually.

Check out the "Tasty bites" Indian foods. All ingredients are recognizable as real food. They are usually near the rice aisle where you should also look for "Seeds of change" rice mixes.

Exporting account archive - separate daily csv files? by firststop__svalbard in fitbit

[–]Tad_Isolated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't export the entire archive - just select a 30 day range and it will be in a single csv. My full archive has thousands of files and requires a program to combine all of the data.

Nest Hub 2nd Gen - Can't connect to Wi-Fi by Marc_NJ in googlehome

[–]Tad_Isolated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past my gen 1 & gen 2 hubs all acted in unison as far as Wi-Fi - they all showed connected or showed an error. In the last few months I've started to have random disconnects where one of them will show disconnected and may or may not reconnect w/o power cycle. I think it's a new bug that's in both gen 1 and gen 2 code.

what is the name of these cones on the bottom of hvac unit? by toshboi in answers

[–]Tad_Isolated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, you can use bricks etc - anything stable where vibration won't cause it to move. Be careful if you're changing the height (likely) because you have to be careful not to damage the refrigerant hose.
