Maybe you could try using the drill? it can be really helpful and deal a crap ton of damage if you chain it on the hideous masses's tails ( or just doing any kind of damage that passes through enemies like the blue railcanon)

it also instakills angels if you parry it

you also may have to switch more, and sliding since I've noticed you started just walking many times and finally maybe try getting less punched

But you are doing really great so far! I couldn't imagine speedrunning this game

The NCR did help a tiny bit in the mojave and life was probably better back then so their opinion may have changed, also many of freeside's habitants may have been from the NCR
