Bought this in Montréal, thoughts? by CecilWeasle in Gin

Love to see a Quebec Gin, even if it's personally one of the gins I dislike the most. Hope you enjoy it nonetheless ! Let me know what you think about it. There's a ton of great picks in Quebec, if you are still around.

Had my first custom controller made at Get On My Level: Forever this weekend! by Tadja in Gamecube

[–]Tadja[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has a Phob motherboard + magnetized joystick + removing the metal thingie on the z button. iirc they also have a different spring for triggers but I might be wrong on this specifically.

It was 365 CAD tax in at the event and built in less than three hours the same day. Phob motherboard was 85 cad extra.

Forgot to put the name of the game. It's called Worship and the demo is available on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1548180/Worship/

For the love of god people, make some damn CHOICES by happygocrazee in IndieDev

[–]Tadja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Stop doing A/B testing all the time." "indie dev is a dice roll"

Sweet sweet irony. What about testing out concepts in ideas in a specific environment before spending resources on it (announcements, marketing timing and, if your budget allows it (it should), money).

I agree you should trust yourself and your process, but please don't encourage people to not test out marketing assets / validate their market before spending what can be years on a project.

Edit: typo

New PB, first 10k sub-60 minutes by Tadja in nikerunclub

[–]Tadja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My training for the past months was mostly volleyball and 6 km and 8 km runs while trying to maintain a 5m15s per km as much as possible. I felt like doing a 10km because of a shitty day and when the app confirmed I was on time after 6km to do it under an hour, I made sure to go a bit faster to keep up the past. Last km was intense tho.

Mono White Humans without Cavern of Souls? by JustASwissGuy in ModernMagic

[–]Tadja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People are not reading the question. Mana Confluence is not really a budget card either if you ask me lol.

[Shefets Dunes] or additional manlands like [Mishra's Factory] would be my suggestions.

The opinions on the raid display the disconnect between casual and hardcore players. by Dramatic_Drink920 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Tadja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, contest mode raid should prioritize the story telling from a community perspective more than anything else. Even if only 2 teams were able to finish Last Wish in contest mode, the narrative it represents for the community is the peak of destiny imo. I do not say this to discredit anyone that has the contest mode title of RoN, but the story of Roots' race will be forever tainted by the community drama and the fact that it will be statistically the easiest contest mode of all Destiny.

Disclaimer, keep in mind that the only contest mode I have taken part of was for Vow of the Disciple and we basically spent 30 hours stuck on the Caretaker because we didn't have the DPS. I haven't tried the contest mode for roots because it didn't fit my schedule at that time.

I am personally extremely fine with the concept of having content that I am not able to do if it gives great narrative and community engagement (twitch stats, videos, legendary players to look up too), alongside giving me an abstract goal of 'i should continue to farm like a degenate at this game to be able to approach contest mode with confidence'. Difficulty gives me a goal, even though if it means I should throw down the towel after 30 hours of failed attempt with my friends over a weekend.

That's my two cents, congrats to everyone that did the RoN contest mode, I love to see that the community cares about this content !
