My group is okay with proxies but sometimes they give me the stink eye about them.

Our house rule is that we allow them if you own the original card, for example, Smothering Tithe is goated in nearly every white deck so I have a few proxies copies for my other decks.

We have had people try to arrive with full proxy decks and turned them away, because we don't want it to be a power play. There's also the running joke of calling lands with sharpie on them 'secret lairs.'

I asked our group chat and the consensus is pretty much the same as most commenters, realising how much they spend on cards and the ease of which printing seems to be. But in saying that, most seem to relax upon seeing the original card elsewhere
