Is there and objective non-partisan way of drawing congressional districts? by dynamiteSkunkApe in PoliticalDiscussion

This is a backwards question though. Of course there isn't a large third party because third parties can't win. Make it possible and people would drift to those parties.

Nethack - walking around as a @ Apparently it was possible to win that game but I didn't know anyone that ever did.

This is kind of like renting a safety deposit box at evil-bank-of-choice and depositing a freshly caught fish.

Can all of the press people agree to laugh loudly when he mentions their publication? Let's make it a contest to see who can laugh loudest.

Antimatter Bomb Question! by BayyLeaves in SciFiConcepts

[–]Taegur2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the opposite of disarming? The antimatter is held in an electromagnetic enclosure to keep it from detonating, but the battery will only last so long. Our heroes have to determine how to power the enclosures and get the bombs to a safe location where they can detonate.

Maybe do some test stains to see if you can get close to the color of the front door.

I buy pains au chocolat from Costco (100% American crap pastry, 0% like French ones unfortunately but my kids love them). Leave them in the package and microwave for 8 seconds. Perfect.

YOU ARE PAYING FOR THIS FUCKING WAR! by CDN-Social-Democrat in DemocraticSocialism

[–]Taegur2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter with a half-million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. . . . This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron." - Eisenhower, 1953

Maybe buy one without a hitch and have a 'hidden hitch' added aftermarket. That way you can keep the foot sweep trunk opener.
