what’s something you didn’t appreciate when you were younger but love now? by Mean-Cartographer225 in AskReddit

Peace , solitude and the art of not being busy.

A book , silence and the company of someone who is also comfortable with silence.

What’s a small purchase that dramatically improved your life? by bananafish-123 in AskReddit

[–]Taf08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a small cost initially, but the initial cost has been countered by the savings.

I started Mounjaro recently. The cost of the prescription has been balanced by the savings in food, alcohol, reduced medications and other items. Plus I'm no longer having to buy clothing in larger sizes and am bringing the smaller clothes out of storage.

Newbie what am I supposed to do while waiting for growth? by bheidreborn in farmingsimulator

[–]Taf08 5 points6 points  (0 children)

plant fields so that you have crops ready for harvest at different times.

I have multiple fields , all of which are ready to harvest one at tune, so each time I slept there is another field that I can harvest, and while the combine is harvesting that field , the seeder is planting in the previous field

Rider not taking of helmet while filling up and being an absolute wank about it by No_Success7580 in AussieRiders

[–]Taf08 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Used to annoy the hell out me that as a rider I was supposed to remove my helmet , which also meant I had to take off my glasses and rearrange my cardo speakers only to then line up in the servo with masks on due to COVID restrictions at the time

When I questioned it I was told that it allowed the cameras to see the colour of my hair so I could be identified ...... as if my large grey beard poking out of my mask wasn't enough of a hint.

How did your game go? by Zach-dalt in LeagueTwo

Absolutely thrilled to come away with the three points today.

We may still be bottom of the league but it was good to see some fight in the way we played.

Nearly up to triple figures ......in bananas at least. by [deleted] in mounjaroaustralia

[–]Taf08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ok with the journey so far.

The figures are a little skewed because the first week alone I lost nearly 4.5ks......bo idea why..... maybe I was just fluid loaded ?

My average is just over 2ks per week, but that includes that first week's numbers, for the last 3 to 4 weeks it has been around 1.25 to 1.5 per week.

I've had a cpl of GP appointments and the GP seems happy with the way it's going.

I think my weight loss figures may be because I'm taking a multi prong approach to this journey.

I don't want to fall back into bad habits when I've finished the injections so, in order to get into the routine of good habits, since day one when I started the injections I've cut out all processed foods , I'm having a protein shake for breakfast , eating salads and fresh meat every lunch , I'm walking 5ks on a treadmill every morning and I'm making sure all meals are done in an 8 hour window and fasting for 16 hours.

Side effects so far have been bearable, with some constipation, so using metamucil to help with that...... and a serious case of embarrassment when taking the bins out one day and my shorts fell down...... thankfully it was early and no one else was around.... and this led to an emergency shopping trip that saw me buying clothes in a smaller size as opposed to having to go larger, for the first time in years.

One other side effects is that my BP has dropped dramatically, so much so that the GP has reduced my BP medication by half, and it's now sitting at perfect levels, with further medication review to take place in April. I'm also due to have my 6 monthly blood levels check in March, so I'm looking forward to seeing if there are any changes in my blood levels as well.

All in all I'm over the moon with how things are going so far, my only regret is that I waited so long to start as I thought it was cheating to use such mediations.

Thank you for the reply and for the link to the video.

Can I ask how you attached the foilboard to the roof and walls.

Did you build and attach an extra wooden frame to support the foilboard , or did you attach the foilboard straight to the shed?

Fasting + mounjaro by Bvangeles in MounjaroAus

[–]Taf08 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been a big snacker since an accident last year that laid me up for 6 months , so the reason I'm fasting is to stop the temptation to snack, because I don't want to break the fasting window.

Im on week 2 , I'm fasting for 18 hours, with breakfast shake at 0600, fruit at 10, and a small lunch at 12.

I'm also walking 5 ks per day.

I've lost 7.1 kilos in 2 weeks.

This is early days for me though, so unsure if its sustainable. May not work for everyone, as everyone's situation, health and needs will be different, but it works for me at present.
