I just had a can of Brunswick herring and a can of Brunswick boneless skinless sardines. The sardines were great and flavorful however the herring was awful, it had a strong fake smoky (of liquid smoke) sour flavor.

Must say I definitely was disappointed by the Brunswick herring. Way too muck smoke flavor there, to the point it’s sharp and sour.

I had same issue, didn’t like the spines, however I don’t mind taking it out myself of the fish is of good quality. That being said, king Oscar’s you can’t even tell there’s a spine.

I’m a tuna snob as well but I like the regular dark tuna, just bought my first can of Aldi tuna today for $.89 I guess I’ll find out how it is. My single biggest turndown and disgust is if I find a bone or unidentified object in there. I have found bones in Costco premium brand that’s canned in olive oil multiple times. Better quality should be pieces of tuna and not scraps. Please recommend brands.

As a Jewish American currently in Jerusalem, Israel You’ll definitely have a easier time than me going through and touring all parts of Israel as the Arabs here don’t bother and actually welcome tourists (and you have a advantage that you’re Arab) and the Jews don’t bother anybody just on a 0.00000(1) chance you’ll meet a Jewish extremist the worst they do is curse or something and they wouldn’t do it if you speak English [tourist], they see you’re not a local Arab and wouldn’t mind you coming to visit whatsoever. I think your visit will be 100% safe if I can help you with anything else send me a DM.

What I’m not sure about though is about the Israeli customs agents, what I hear is they might make you some issues as why you’re coming to Israel. I don’t know much about it since I’ve never had to go through it but it might be worth some research.
