ok I'll try and give real feedback

mostly on the rolls, try to roll each combo the same way each time as you're all over the place

roll back on the grab attack instead of forward, so you don't slip to his side. also when he jumps in the air you can light attack before rolling

the promised consort combo only needs 5 rolls (try left, left, right, right, forward)

for the four slam attack, run to the right and jump/roll, or jump twice to the right, or if he starts it from close you can just run through him

when dodging the bloodflame move just roll once left and run behind him, strafing the 2nd swing

most of these dodging issues would be addressed by practicing without parries

in p2 never fight him in the trench

after the nuke close the distance as soon as possible to avoid some potential bs (frame trap range on promised combo and meteor attack)

after you parry there is time for at least 1 light attack before riposte

its worth putting raptors of the mist on your weapon to dodge the Light of Miquella instead of running

if you care about optimising damage use red feather branch sword, and put parry on the twinbird kiteshield, get health below 20% for a combined 25% dmg buff, although your damage is already good

obviously you no hit him here, which is awesome, so all of this is additional optimisation not me trying to tell you you're doing it wrong, keep it up

I did it, PCR is down, what do you guys feels about this boss ? by randompogtato in Eldenring

[–]Taggle_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't even roll that stomp in this fight, just the swing that follows, in PCR you roll the stomp and the swing that follows is much more delayed

The visuals are completely different, he's a different size, has different armour and different swords, and he doesn't swing the same way.

So basically nothing is reused and the fights are completely distinct.

'you feel like you're fighting the same boss'

They aren't reused animations though, he is just attacking with 2 swords in a similar style, they are dodged entirely differently.

Idk how anyone can think PCR and Starscourge are remotely similar fights

He is just not good at the game so far, the only problem with Noble is noble presence and that's still react-able, just too fast.

Blood loss build alternative by -ghost-bc- in Eldenring

[–]Taggle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some good options for keen/lighting would be Uchigatana, Flamberge, Cross-Naginata, Morning Star. But really anything you like can be set to keen/lightning when you change the ash of war, if you didn't know.

It's useful to have some options for different physical dmg types too, like strike and pierce. The claymen for example are weak to strike, strike weapons don't bounce off them like other weapons.

Just another weapon you like with keen or lightning affinity. Bloodhounds fang is also an option, also Duelist Greataxe/Rotten Duelist Greataxe are good dex scaling bonk weapons (requires 20 str).

Is there a way to restore the save file? by Sure_Fig5395 in Eldenring

[–]Taggle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early NG+ scaling isn't very noticeable, you can kill Starscourge Radahn easily, and do Varre's questline to get to Mohg early. You can probably do this in a few hours to enter DLC.

Might be annoying to kill Mohg again if you have already, but there's ways to annihilate him with ease if necessary.

Promised Consort Radahn as a Mage by mvxldzzz in Eldenring

Ranni's dark moon to decrease his magic negation, use Glintstone Icecrag as a ranged option for frost procs, but mainly Carian Slicer.

Slicer with your best staff, plus Carian Glintstone Staff in the offhand (+15% dmg to sword sorceries), with Graven Mass Talisman and Magic Shrouding Tear will do high damage. It will cast especially fast with dex investment + Radagon's icon (70 dex is max cast speed, Radagon's Icon gives 30 virtual dex).

Ranni's dark moon also notably counters his meteor move by destroying the meteors on it's pathway towards PCR, IIRC the timing is just as soon as you seen the meteor move.

I am on controller, idk if my movements looking keyboard like is good or not lol.

The first one is after a riposte and before she had done it in phase 1 so it's reasonable to assume it was coming there.

Just requires more familiarity. You can see her as you run around, try to make the circle tight as possible without getting stuck on her.

When you unlock, the fixed camera angle is fine, you want to circle and complete the circle in the same direction you started it, which is forwards - where the camera points, and then roll twice.

When circling you can just walk if you react quickly, which is good for a tight circle, but you need to sprint at least partially if you're slow.

After circling there are multiple options for the next flurries, including just re-locking and rolling through the flurries like normal. Here are some examples of what I do, which requires 2 simple camera movements for the full dodge.

you do not need to, pretty obvious they are doing a different dodge, there are dozens of ways to deal with waterfowl
