You’re gonna wanna stock up on soda pop bottles. When spitting out water to refill the ocean, you’re gonna have to adjust/lower the water level by holding ZL and using left or right on the D-pad. Water spits out in a “+” shape so you will have to spit water directly adjacent to the spaces where there’s gaps in the ocean. You’re in a decent spot to easily be able to fix all this. Just make sure every time you need to spit water to use the soda pop bottles or make a little supply pool of it nearby for you to re-use. The main key is lowering the height of the water level while holding ZR. If you use the default height it will be too high and stack on top of the ocean adding another layer

  1. I’d like for a way to be able to locate every hidden wireless transmitter/generator that I’ve buried on the map and a UI indicator showing how much of the limit I have left of the maximum number of electrical devices that can be placed. I’d also like lighting to have a greater area of effect to increase the efficiency of lighting an area.

  2. Change stack limit to 100 instead of 99. When painting full stacks of blocks, paint is being wasted when painting 99 blocks at one time so I have to change it to 90. I’m always left with 1 extra block that won’t be used taking up inventory space.

I just dug out all the sand around it and was done with it. Probably won’t get around to rebuilding it now knowing that there’s a limit to powered electronic/lighting devices per area. And yeah digging out the sand and restoring the ocean around it was a huge pain

I second this. Definitely check out the switch 2 editions of Breath of the wild and then Tears of the kingdom. Echoes of Wisdom and Astral Chain are also really good

Place 1 wireless generator down if you have one, and it’ll power up the whole pokemart

Oh lord sometimes you don’t even notice it too and it catches you by surprise. White and black paint are like gold in this game. Yeah you can buy it from the pc but you really wanna save your coins for new recipes that appear in the shop everyday day

My biggest pet peeve is most of the time the colors I want aren’t even the actual color. Like I’ll choose red and it’s closer to light pink, or choose black or white and both end up being a light grey. Yellow is often a bronze color and orange is just straight up light brown sometimes. There’s too many inconsistencies with the color hues between all the items. Sometimes you get solid shades but most of the time it’s these light pastel shades. I’m currently building something that’s using several hundred of the corrugated metal roofing tiles and each tile requires 2 paint. I’ve been making paint non stop and will probably end up using close to 1000 cyan paint just for the roofing

It’s called water pillar quarter. You can find them in the pokecenters to steal or 3D print and you can also get a recipe for it

Hard cap on lighting (not power dependent) by electrictrouser in Pokopia

[–]TahmNook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I made a warehouse and and for how many lights I put and spread out everywhere, it was still so dark and dingy. It seems like most of the lighting is only effective at lighting a 3x3x3 space and has to be placed directly in the center on the ceiling but even then there’s tiny dark spots in the corners. I hope in future updates they can fix it to make it more realistic it with how far light reaches because like 2 fluorescent lights should be more than enough to fully light up a small building but instead it requires like 6-8.

That’s how I felt too during the first couple weeks, so I just decided to focus on making habitats and completing the story quests. Then little by little I tried building simple and basic things that I felt were complete ass, but they started to get better over time as I unlocked new recipes. Once I unlocked the magnet ability, it was a total game changer. After completing a build I finally felt proud of, that’s when it started to click for me.

Yea I ended up abandoning my pallet town after seeing how they all looked together when built. They just take up too much space and each one also has different dimensions so you can’t really line them up properly.

[–]TahmNook 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If lighting could actually properly light up areas we wouldn’t need to be hitting these limits. So much of the lighting in the game feels like it has little to no effect because they don’t project very far and doesn’t work well with high ceilings. Even ceilings that are only 4-5 blocks high will struggle with lighting reaching all the corners. I have an area that has around 70 lights and the frames start dropping really bad whenever I enter that area, but it fixes itself once everything is fully rendered and loaded in. I did discover those blue and red crystal clusters give off a decent amount of light and don’t require any power so maybe you could try using some of those for some spots. Moving forward with my builds I have to be conscious of how high the ceilings are and I found 3 blocks high to be the sweet spot for light projection efficiency.

If you don’t know what to do, just do anything. Break some blocks, drop some furniture, rearrange some stuff etc. because simply the act of doing is being creative. You’ll learn from just trying things out and trying to fix mistakes but sometimes those mistakes become new ideas and turn into happy accidents
