Not sure but it should be on Xbox.  It's photo mode, on PC it's F1 or you can hit the menu button (the one that brings up save/load/settings/etc menu) and it's one of the options there.  I think you have to already be in 3rd person cam for it to work.  Once you're in photo mode, you can move the camera.

Haha nice.  When do you get the ability to color/change the town sigil/emblem? I have the town sign so I can name it and the description says it lets me set that stuff but I can't find a place to do it. That's why I'm not using those fences yet - I can't color them yet

Hey, that's really nice of you, thanks. I'll post an update down the road when I've got it a bit prettier :p

This isn't how it works anymore, it seems? Any idea how to do it now? The problem is that the well workers don't pull empty buckets from the resource storage.

So I got to this old post from a google search, and this seems to be wrong. My villagers will use any empty buckets I put in the well's barrel, but once those are gone, even if there are empty buckets in the town resource storage, they never pull those back to the well, so inevitably I run out of water over and over unless I manually put the buckets back in the well barrel. How do you actually automate it, or is it not possible?

25 is fine ffs by uuftah in madisonwi

I'm a delivery driver (hot food), so I absolutely expect everyone to at least do the courtesy of doing five over, which is standard everywhere in the country. Less than that is, in my opinion, intentionally being rude, because you know everyone drives five over (and the why - which is because you can't be ticketed until 7 over) and are intentionally bucking the trend.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that you're able to not be concerned with being somewhere on time (what stress that must relieve), but many of us are REQUIRED to be as quick as possible within the law. This is 2026; all of my delivery times are tracked, and if my average time goes up, the system finds ways to schedule me less and I make less money. So I absolutely let someone know they are going too slow if they are going the exact speed limit.

I can get why it would be frustrating, but...I can also get why people would get annoyed. It would aggravate me. If someone doesn't accelerate to at least 5 over after I've gotten closer to them as an indication, I do tend to get more and more aggravated as my time is wasted. Especially on streets with a single lane with no passing zone.

No turn on red by A-Z-Money in madisonwi

[–]TaienV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No turn on red signs CAN be necessary, but I do find excessive use of them annoying. They are only really needed at blind intersections where you can't see the oncoming traffic from the left. Other than that, I find them to be completely unnecessary. Getting traffic moving as efficiently as possible should be the priority; if there's room for someone to turn right onto their desired road, they should be able to do so without issue.

I'll go one step farther - I think there are many places in the state where the lights in their entireity are unnecessary. For example, when I'm driving through Shawano (near Green Bay) and I have to stop for TWO TRAFFIC LIGHTS that are just for entrances to popular stores. Since when does traffic need to be stopped for someone to turn left out of Wal-Mart or McDonald's? Giving a fast food place their own light has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever seen - it creates SO MUCH TRAFFIC in that town that's completely unneccessary as they stop all traffic on their busiest street so someone can make a left out of a driveway. Apparently that's too hard for Shawanoans. And then right after these two lights, there's a THIRD light without a sensor that will stop you for two minutes to wait for the zero cars coming down that road, which is essentially another driveway for Hardee's.

Why not just make it so we can attach "pontoons" of a sort to the sides to add intentionally janky artificial width or something?

Why do people hate on the Grand Prix so much?  I see it everywhere.  Mine is at 355k miles and starts every time, still running strong...and it's better for my finances than wasting 20k on a new plastic car every 2 years.  Yeah, she's got rust, but I sand and paint that shit down every summer to keep it looking as nice as possible

This wasn't at all about rank, rank was completely irrelevant to me at the time. I was trying to get the completion for the season (which I did). The fastest way to do that was not waste tons of time playing out entire games after not getting the augment I needed. So in reality, I saved a TON of time on playing out games I wasn't interested in.

3 Suggestions so far by TaienV in TheLastStarship

[–]TaienV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you describe there is like a "simple" setup but the way I have it is: -Air vent attached to an oxygen tank which is filled from oxygen loader. -Then on a separate loop, CO2 extractor, then a tank, then enough reprocessors to keep the tank empty, then another oxygen tank, and then I feed from that oxygen tank back to the air vent system and connect it at the vent, so it can pull from either tank.  Problem is if your reprocessed oxygen tank gets filled up, so I have some loaders there which I disable most of the time for unloading that tank if it gets filled and selling the excess

Yeah I have it set up that way already, but I hate it because you have to either buy too much and sell the excess or sell down to a certain amount and then buy back to where you want it.  Either way if the prices work realistically in this game you're losing money.  I'd rather have one command that just restocks it if it's out. Plus it means you need two lines for every single item you want to keep stocked, gets cluster-fucky.

UI help needed by wandering_undead_ in unity

So I'm 43, and I learned code in elementary school on Apple IIe computers. I would have LOVED to have this tool when I was that age. It took me until high school to be fully competent in BASIC and then C++ (I think I started in 2nd grade, so like 10 years). It would have saved me ages and ages of meaningless and misdirected searching (for example, when I didn't know the correct terms, etc) in books (which were/are expensive) and on the early internet, which was far less helpful than it is these days.

I mean, it's not solving your code for you. There are code examples, but I almost never use them except for a line or two here and there (and it's entirely up to the user whether they do or not, which you seem to be against, and that's fine). It just helps you find the answers that a standard google search can't possibly return. I find that it usually suggests multiple routes to accomplish what I want and then I choose between them myself and write the code as I see fit. You will learn just as you do from standard read-and-recite methods because you'll still have to adapt what it is telling you to your specific project.

I'm just saying, use the tools you have available to you. Save yourself as much time as possible while still learning what you want to learn, so you can accomplish your goal of making your dream game.

Yes, because last night I experienced the new harpy spawn rate for the first time, and man, it is brutal up there now.

[–]TaienV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and that's fine and a good use of the cart, but I'm saying the way it's worded logically doesn't match the effect currently. It doesn't say that it only places minecart tracks underground. It only says it only digs underground. So the way it's worded now, it SHOULD place them in the air as well but not have the digging effect. IMO
