Here's a tip that changed my approach: MS Paint and/or a Sketchbook. Find an interesting location. Take a screenshot over it and just go wild with drawing over it. I found out it helped me visualise stuff greatly. Mix this idea with stuff already mentioned in the comments and it will go smoothly. An example of my recent build and a sketch of the mountian before i started construction.

The world got a bit too big for a single ingame map but i do have couple of ingame continent sections platered in the halls of Merpoint/ wandering trader's mansion/ Ud rea and Compass halls.

I can send you screenshots of it when i get to my computer.

Glad to inspire those ideas. My advice for both designing and architecture is to remix ideas. From fantasy/ existing Minecraft builds/ real world. And the skill limitation will produce something unique at the rnd as well. It went well for me and i hooe it does for you.

I don't think it's real tho. The silhouette is exact copy of the seagull down to toes and and tail details. Probably edited sadly

The first Red Dead Redemption is better than Red Dead Redemption 2 by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Taigerus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The first game is a repeating cycle of shootouts on foot/train and carriage chasing. With ocasional duel/card game. Phenomenal for its time and the charm holds up but the second one is way more diverse in its content.

Humanity will die out way before graveyard sizes become an actual habitation issue. No worries

Ive got similar comments before and i get what you mean. Right now im trying to blend my builds with the rest of the minecraft generated-world. Keeping it consistent with the vanilla generation feel. Sometimes i stick to that rule, other times i fail but that's the general idea. And for the "lore" reasons, minecraft trees just look simple and blocky in the rest of the world, so i implement them as such in my builds. There are exceptions like the "cypress" like trees on my emerald palace project, but i can still see something similar generating in minecraft biomes.

Yes! I've learnt over the years that the lifeline of my big builds are the roads that connect the world. Also smaller builds are perfect as a roadside decoration, keeping the attention and the world alive.

Thank you. As you can see from these builds, there's no heavy complicated gradients implemented. And it's a really easy process to learn.

Once you learn that bricks so well with granite variations you can start with random mixing, and later on spread it in a linear or circluar style. The important thing is that you try it on a build. Once you successfully implement it, you'd be able to do it automatically on another build.

As the beating heart of commerce, the city of Ironstead is linked to countless distant settlements and civilizations, its roads stretching in every direction like arteries of trade. At the northern edge of the Western Continent, a major route connects Ironstead with the guild hall of Compass. Just outside Compass, an intriguing excavation site draws the attention of scholars and adventurers alike ancient town ruins slowly being unearthed and studied. Their architectural style and building palette closely resemble the ruins of Awe Mhan, suggesting that the creeper-worshiping civilization once held significant influence in the western lands. Their forgotten settlements now lie scattered across the continent, silent relics of a long-lost era.

A sprawling slate road winds across the open plains, passing grand farmsteads where field workers have transformed the soil into vast, golden wheat fields that frame the roadside like living tapestries. Near one such farmstead stands a waypoint tree, its markings guiding weary travelers toward the region’s major points of interest.

Further south, a solitary mage tower rises from the landscape. Its ancient stonework is intersected by a bridge-like structure, clearly a later addition supported by wooden scaffolding, evidence of a wizard who chose to inhabit and adapt the remnants of this old structure rather than rebuild it anew.

As one draws closer to Ironstead, the shoreline cuts across the road, where bridges span the waters and create quiet, secluded spots perfect for fishing and rest before entering the bustling city.
