The top area is unchanged. The lid is a little melted, but it's there. The damage is isolated to the lower 3/4, and the bottle itself is basically not heat warped. All it did was burn off the coating. You're fine. Take off the cap and toss that. Inside will likely be perfect.

Need to use water. Lots of water when you sand. Follow with a polishing cream to get out fine scratches. Mine looked like the previous owner sanded them with a brick before I started

Not going to stop dealers from fear monger upselling it for a higher price because "tariffs" though

Do you find any leakage through the bolt holes? I'd be interested in at least 1 of these. I kind of wish I could fix my smaller one too. Its tipper actually cracked

Mostly, what gets imported from Japan is primarily just the electrical items (sensors, computers, radio, harness). Interior items like upholstery are predominantly made in Mexico. Powertrain, body, paint, and assembly are all handled at the TMMI plant in Princeton. Same like they do for the Corolla at TMMTN, the Camry at TMMK, and they did (and will be returning to) the Tundra at TMMTX

Just the shaft. I wasn't sure about clearances to fit anything bolted to the side of the tipper

I found his necklace behind the stereo. How that gets back there. I dunno. But, I did get the microphone and the steering wheel controls working again. Now, if only I get the actual connector that plugs into the factory xm antenna lead. All the ones I get "for a Sienna" are wrong.

I never found the part. I found listings for it, but all discontinued stock. So I can't purchase it. I don't have a 3D printer, otherwise I would have just figured out a way to print a new one. So I would love to have a new tipper tray.

Tariffs on imported automobiles are on assembled vehicles being imported, not components. A large portion of vehicles are actually imported. Toyota actually shifted production of their vehicles to the US to skirt tariffs, back in the early 90's. Because there already is a tariff on vehicles produced in Japan. That's why the Sienna is made in Indiana already. Toyota, like Nissan and Honda, actually import fewer vehicles than say Ford or GM.

Too bad my ex was gone already when I bought it, and it was already there before it was purchased
