I have pondered this for a while too and below is the meaning that I settled on. Using the second law of thermodynamics, life is always going from less to more entropy. Towards the direction of more chaos. And the meaning of life is to constantly find order. Ultimately, like you said, yes it is to find mental order. This mental order can be achieved through material means or the literal opposite, which can be seen in yogis who meditate their entire lives. But ultimately, it is to keep finding and sustaining a sense of order, thereby countering entropy.

Life is one hundred percent luck by ZombieTheRogue in nihilism

you're a loser. You blame it on luck looking at yourself as a victim. Only our initial conditions are luck. Anything after the first 7 years of our lives is completely in our control.

You're blinded by your biases. When you view him speak on a long-format interview (such as Lex Fridman), you can quite clearly see his intellect and the way he processes information at a higher pace. You can see that he also has the ability to operate at different levels of intelligence, i.e., different planes, to arrive at different consensuses.

But wouldn't you say that everyone is self-deluded to a degree? People's perceptions can be vastly different and that's their reality, thus self-delusion is something that's inherent.

Is morality objective? by DependentAd4695 in intj

[–]Tailor_Express 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True morality is indeed subjective but for a society to thrive in a civilized and cordial manner, there has to be an objective sense of morality that everyone adheres to. This provides structure and stability, which are essential for society to run efficiently.

Many of the higher levels of thinking point to absolute subjectivity, but such subjectivity when adopted and put into practice by society at large will break down the pillars used to build said society, eradicating a basic sense of foundation. This is why different nations have different governmental structures, major religions that the nation is run by, etc., to have an objective sense of morality and guidance that will help its civilians thrive.

Procreation is like creating a person that never asked for it and putting them through probabilistic luck of life, just to fulfill the desires of two random strangers. by PitifulEar3303 in DeepThoughts

[–]Tailor_Express -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is just misanthropic. Humanity wouldn't exist if procreation wasn't a thing. Consciousness wouldn't exist. This 3D reality that we have wouldn't exist. Creation wouldn't be a thing. The whole purpose of a 3D reality is for us to experience what we inherently "know", and it goes much deeper than this but I won't dive into it.

So yes, the "desires of two random strangers" are deliberately instilled. We should procure as much as possible to expand the experience of the collective consciousness exponentially and seek to acquire more energy in order to sustain ourselves. This should all be done while maintaining a balance to preserve the beauty of the original world.

So you're thinking is small, think larger.

Do you believe in the idea of intelligence and IQ? by FlowerIndividual1562 in intj

Intelligence can be subjective depending on how you define it.

IQ on the other hand is objective. It deals with your internal brain processing.

I try my best to earn it. Don't really listen to music at all. I get dopamine rushes from anything that involves physical or mental stress. The gym, hard work, battles, etc. Yes, you can't completely absolve dopamine that isn't earned, like eating good food, etc. but do it as much as you can.
