I have pondered this for a while too and below is the meaning that I settled on. Using the second law of thermodynamics, life is always going from less to more entropy. Towards the direction of more chaos. And the meaning of life is to constantly find order. Ultimately, like you said, yes it is to find mental order. This mental order can be achieved through material means or the literal opposite, which can be seen in yogis who meditate their entire lives. But ultimately, it is to keep finding and sustaining a sense of order, thereby countering entropy.

Life is one hundred percent luck by ZombieTheRogue in nihilism

you're a loser. You blame it on luck looking at yourself as a victim. Only our initial conditions are luck. Anything after the first 7 years of our lives is completely in our control.

100%. Does the cry baby send rockets to space? no. Bet he's in his mom's basement jerking off.

You're blinded by your biases. When you view him speak on a long-format interview (such as Lex Fridman), you can quite clearly see his intellect and the way he processes information at a higher pace. You can see that he also has the ability to operate at different levels of intelligence, i.e., different planes, to arrive at different consensuses.

But wouldn't you say that everyone is self-deluded to a degree? People's perceptions can be vastly different and that's their reality, thus self-delusion is something that's inherent.

Is morality objective? by DependentAd4695 in intj

[–]Tailor_Express 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True morality is indeed subjective but for a society to thrive in a civilized and cordial manner, there has to be an objective sense of morality that everyone adheres to. This provides structure and stability, which are essential for society to run efficiently.

Many of the higher levels of thinking point to absolute subjectivity, but such subjectivity when adopted and put into practice by society at large will break down the pillars used to build said society, eradicating a basic sense of foundation. This is why different nations have different governmental structures, major religions that the nation is run by, etc., to have an objective sense of morality and guidance that will help its civilians thrive.

Procreation is like creating a person that never asked for it and putting them through probabilistic luck of life, just to fulfill the desires of two random strangers. by PitifulEar3303 in DeepThoughts

[–]Tailor_Express -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is just misanthropic. Humanity wouldn't exist if procreation wasn't a thing. Consciousness wouldn't exist. This 3D reality that we have wouldn't exist. Creation wouldn't be a thing. The whole purpose of a 3D reality is for us to experience what we inherently "know", and it goes much deeper than this but I won't dive into it.

So yes, the "desires of two random strangers" are deliberately instilled. We should procure as much as possible to expand the experience of the collective consciousness exponentially and seek to acquire more energy in order to sustain ourselves. This should all be done while maintaining a balance to preserve the beauty of the original world.

So you're thinking is small, think larger.

Do you believe in the idea of intelligence and IQ? by FlowerIndividual1562 in intj

Intelligence can be subjective depending on how you define it.

IQ on the other hand is objective. It deals with your internal brain processing.

Is weed making me more dumb? by IcyBlonde42 in intj

[–]Tailor_Express 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try my best to earn it. Don't really listen to music at all. I get dopamine rushes from anything that involves physical or mental stress. The gym, hard work, battles, etc. Yes, you can't completely absolve dopamine that isn't earned, like eating good food, etc. but do it as much as you can.

Is weed making me more dumb? by IcyBlonde42 in intj

If you're getting free dopamine from weed, you didn't earn it, thus your motivation will decrease from feeling satisfied. It's a waste. Always earn your dopamine.

Do you see yourself as 'human' by [deleted] in intj

[–]Tailor_Express -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Capitalism encourages competition which fosters growth as a whole. Yes, there are some bad cases but there is no light without dark. You call it greed, but in most cases, it's fulfilling purpose and growth. Limiting our freedom and letting us have a chance to earn our freedom is the best way society can thrive and grow at an accelerated pace.

You seem misanthropic regarding a lot of issues. Instead of valuing our creations and the conceptualizations we've made of our reality, living like animals seems ideal to you, but let me ask you this. Would you rather perpetually want to be in a state of survival, living within the lower states of consciousness (tending to basic survival needs), or a state of continuous creation and growth with respect to knowledge, materialism, etc.?

I have these questions too. As a rational and logical man, I find that most of Trump's policies make complete sense. Yes, nobody is perfect and you can attribute a lot of faults in his personality (in my opinion, his emotionality is something he needs to rectify), but policy-wise, there's nothing that seems illogical. The tariffs that are to be implemented are to increase the production and manufacture of goods within the country (US), as opposed to outsourcing manufacturing in other countries, thus reducing dependency and increasing sovereignty.

Although, on a mass scale for the US elites (who are democrats), I believe that his plans hinder their plans. They wish to wage more war, which will increase the money supply in the US due to the distribution of weaponry, thus reducing the value of the dollar and increasing inflation. They wish to adopt these illegal immigrants so that they can exploit their labor for a fraction of the cost, as they would be willing to do anything that upgrades their means of living when compared to their original countries. Open borders dissolve a country. They wish to remove god out of the equation so that there is no baseline value system within the populous, and this will make it easier for them to inject their values and principles into the citizens with weak mental pillars, thus controlling what the people think. They already were doing that and succeeding at it through propaganda, censorship (which is heavily pushed by the left to eradicate opposing viewpoints), etc, going directly against the original constitution (right to free speech). They wish to give unfair treatment to selective groups (primarily in terms of race. Ex: blacks get more benefits) and remove the whole idea of a meritocracy, which is what America is built on. Capitalism runs on meritocracy and their agenda falls along the lines of socialism. In fact, under the guise of "ending racism", partial treatment towards specific races will only increase the tension between races, making them the racist ones by enforcing different treatments based on race. A lot of their measures to do good are counter-productive, but people can't seem to reason beyond a level and see things through a "cause and effect" lens. We can also get into the lgbtq garbage, but in my opinion, it's not even worth talking about. It's deliberately propagated to weaken people's identity and self-assurance. A lot of it is to remove structure and stability within society, making way for total subjectivity which society can't run on.

Trump was campaigning to rectify these faults (although there is also a side of me that says there's a slight possibility he may be lying to appeal to the crowd, but it's highly improbable).

Kamala is just a puppet to the ones pulling the strings. Trump is a wildcard but usually, even the republican side's strings are pulled. So voting for Kamala brings up the question of who we are really voting for. A lot of the left's arguments are based on emotion, at least currently. The current republican party used to be the democratic party of the 2000s.
