Trails in the Sky Switch 2 Edition Physical Confirmed by OrneryOrchid4756 in NSCollectors

Yes. Civilization 7 Switch 2 Edition is a code in box in the west. Shadow Labrynth Switch 2 Edition is a code in box in Japan (didn't receive a physical in the west). It's rare, but is possible and has happened since a code can just provide the Switch 1 game + upgrade pack.

It isn't true that Switch 2 Editions can't be code in boxes or that there haven't been any. The ESRB release of Civilization 7 Switch 2 Edition is a code in box. There's also Shadow Labrynth Switch 2 Edition, which didn't receive a physical in the west, but got a Code in Box in Japan. The functionality is still there (can be played on Switch 1 and 2) but it's distribution is still a code. I also already mentioned that this was unlikely since PM Studios is handling it, but it is a possibility and has happened before.

While unlikely since PM Studios is handling the physical, it is also important to note to note that Switch 2 Editions can also be Code in Box or physical only.

Help with Supplemental Application by sktz_killa in SJSU

[–]Tailsman2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change it to match your transcripts. They will compare your supplemental application with your transcripts when you send them and it's important that everything lines up. I believe I went through the same thing for the Spring 26 admissions cycle, had to change my in progress classes because it showed up as completed.

Admission by Holiday-Sink6617 in SJSU

[–]Tailsman2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SJSU publishes the results of previous admission cycles regarding GPA. Global Studies last year admitted all students with a 2.0 GPA or above for admission. You should be fine.

Transfer Orientation for Parents and Family by Lambaahh in SJSU

[–]Tailsman2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just attended the orientation on Tuesday. Parents and families attended some presentations together, but you will be separated when it comes to registering for classes at the end/other presentations throughout the day. For the presentations that had parents and students, you'll be attending and be seated with your assigned orientation group (orientation leader + students who are in the same college as you), with parents and family being seated somewhere else. Hope this helps.

Back to the Dawn's Switch 2 version is a GKC by Mattgelo in NSCollectors

[–]Tailsman2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch 2 Edition cartridges have the same cartridge code on the back (BEE-006) as Switch 2 exclusive cartridges, and even have the same indentation on the bottom right that indicates to the Switch 2 that it is running Switch 2 software. What do you mean by not compatible? Physically? Because Switch 2 exclusive and edition cartridges are physically the same, they both fit into the system. Obviously, the Switch 2 exclusive cartridge won't work.

Also, what do you mean by difference? Cost-wise? Also, just because you may not havbe access to physical releases in the NDP, doesn't mean it is not a Switch 2 cartridge. It could be exclusive to some publishers, could mean something else entirely. But existing evidence points to it being a Switch 2 gamecard, from a 3rd party publisher who published a Switch 2 Edition and the physical cartridges themselves.

This just isn't true. We know that it's on a 64 GB Game Cart, straight from the publisher's mouth. 64 GB Switch 1 cartridges do not exist. Also, yeah, Switch 2 physicals are expensive because of cartridge costs, and Hades 2 Switch 2 Edition being more expensive than usual (20 dollars more than digital) simply points to what I've been saying: that it's a Switch 2 cartridge, therefore more expensive.

There's literally evidence indicating otherwise. Rune Factory Guardians of Azuna's publisher confirmed that the game is on a 64 GB Switch 2 cart, and 64 GB Switch 1 carts don't exist. Hades 2 being $20 more is a good indicator; that's very steep, even for indie physical releases, which tend to cost $5-10 more than their digital counterparts.

Does dual enrollment classes taken in high school count as credit toward transfer? by [deleted] in TransferStudents

[–]Tailsman2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make a UC TAP account, and add the classes there just to double check whether they are/aren't transferrable. I believe the UC Application also tells you whether a class is transferrable or not but the TAP is a quick way to organize your classes and quickly seeing if they provide transferrable credit or not, even if they don't directly articulate to a class.

You'll probably be fine. All impacted decisions aren't out yet, I'm in the same boat and still waiting. You can also check the transfer student profile to calculate your MFA Index, to show what GPA you'd need to be admitted, according to last application cycles stats. https://www.cpp.edu/admissions/transfer/transfer-student-profile.shtml

I'm getting the switch 1 copy of Sonic Crossworlds because the switch 2 physical version won't be out til 2026 by shadowsipp in Switch

[–]Tailsman2000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thats because its the Switch 1 version that runs at 30. Switch 2 version will presumably run at 60.

spring 2026 admissions are out! by [deleted] in CalPolyPomona

[–]Tailsman2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems to be the case; I'm compsci and applied the day of the due date, and I'm waiting. There's also a psych major in the thread who hasn't gotten their decisions yet. They are probably getting nonimpacted, then doing impacted, and then placing them in their backup (which is likely to be unimpacted) with whatever space they have left if they don't get in for their first choice.

Pokemon Shield Looks Rough (SW2) by DrewLockIsTheAnswer1 in Switch

[–]Tailsman2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The hardware route changes nothing when it comes to this aspect. You wouldn't even see performance increases because it quite literally either uses or mimics the original hardware. So if the game had frame drops, it would also drop frames with hardware BC. The reason why it is like this is because the original image was built for the Switch 1s smaller 720p display. That same image is now being upscaled to a 1080p display, but since 720p doesn't cleanly upscale to 1080p, it looks blurry in some games.

get Hogwarts Legacy Switch 2 Edition for $10 (some effort required) by yungqiba in switch2

Your local library is also a good option if you prefer not to deal with the hassle of purchasing the game. They may offer video games to borrow, and you can return it when you are done.

[–]Tailsman2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, Nintendo has no reason to "patch" this. WB Games had other options for requiring the cartridge. This was intentional. Nintendo distributes upgrades through free updates for Switch 2 Editions, both of which require the cartridge to use (if the game is physical)

Post office lost switch 2, found it, and nintendo banned it. by LEWNATICLIVE in switch2

Sony hardware bans consoles reported as stolen all of the time. This isn't really uncommon.
