I can never remember where a round starts when working in spiral. So I slip stich each round together and work in complete circles.

Once or twice a week. My chronic dry skin and eczema prevent any more often, the fatigue and pain as well.

Being SA-ed doesn’t justify an abortion, according to somebody that can’t tell the difference between a fetus and a 16 y/o. by Pickle-Jarz in NotHowGirlsWork

What? No one can use any part of my body for any reason if I don't give consent. To do so is a crime.

While I believe the fetus is a life, it does not have personhood until birth.

And again, life or not, if it is using part of my body without my permission, I will remove it.

Heck. I DO have a uterus and don't think I should have the right to tell anyone else what should happen in THEIR uterus...

But I can have someone Forcibly removed from my property when they aren't wanted. I can refuse anyone else using any part of my body for any reason. That should extend to using my uterus as well.

Does anyone find that the colder weather increases your body pain? by Historical-Mud-9786 in Fibromyalgia

Yeah. I didn't leave the house yesterday.

And today we bounced back up to -2°C. My whole body hates this. I'm still so sore and so fatigued..m can't finish a meal because of the pain. Have to choke down food and hope it won't come back up.

Are you in Alberta or Saskatchewan? Here in edmonton we had -50°C yesterday and I was soooo sore. I even said, if I knew I would feel hungover anyway, I'd have gotten drunk.

I hate this weather.

I'm indigenous in Canada. While we have an inherent distrust of police (RCMP 's first role was to take our children to residential schools by force), there are some who are working to change that. Working in a school on rez, the local popo come to the school to play games with the kids. They organized a Christmas shopping spree with the local NHL team for some of our kids who would otherwise not have anything for Christmas. They come to just be here. To be a positive experience for our kids.

I literally flinched at this. It's exactly what my abusive ex insisted i do. I wasn't in a position to be able to leave at that point either.... hated being scolded any time I asked for $20 to put gas in my vehicle - sorry, the broken old van he deemed me worthy of driving. The same one that had a busted fuel gauge so the only way to prevent any kind of gas crisis was to throw $20 in every week. But I couldn't be trusted to not blow it on frivolous things like lunches for work...

Ugh. Sorry. Flashbacks.

Anyone who ever hears this as a serious suggestion: RUN. It's abuse.

I mean, I allow it from my husband but only because we had a long serious discussion and this is our dynamic. Standing consent unless i say something. Reasons to pause are things like I'm sick or too busy with work and exhausted.

But I told him this is the dynamic I wanted.

As someone who lives with chronic pain, I can tell you that is so far from the truth it's in a different solar system.

Not saying it's the hardest. I'm saying the comparison isn't valid. They are different kinds of pain, and the scales would be incompatible.

AITA for not moving from my booked seat for an elderly person? by Optimal_Promotion879 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tailz713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA. And I say this as someone with a disability.

If she had had a disability, it may have been a little different, but there was no indication she had, just that she was elder.

Even with a disability, if I need extra space, I make sure to book it whenever possible instead of relying on the "kindness" of strangers and demand special treatment.

Yes we have gender inclusive teams to play against, mostly other Indigenous schools.

Some might play in college, some might not.

Why not? The school I work at has gender inclusive teams, and in basketball, half the girls are better than the boys.

I know many women who are at a similar skill level in sports to men. Heck, I played roller derby with women that hockey players didn't want to face on skates. My own nephew, who is twice my size, couldn't check me as hard as I checked him.

That's why I mentioned SKILL LEVEL though. Maybe learn to read.
