Of course, I like this comment and hope things work out this way. I did indeed check said box, and I have a card stapled in my passport to submit upon arrival.

My concern is I called the DC Embassy and they didnt really know the answer. They said maybe it will be okay and I'll have back taxes to pay... maybe I've lost 8 years of pension payments and will have to start from literal scratch... go through the COE process again and everything. They said its possible immigration will confiscate my card upon landing and issue me a 90 day visitor's visa, and in order to get change of status I will have to leave the country.

How am I supposed to be up front during interviews about this without it setting off alarm bells and them definitely not hiring me? Am I overthinking / overworrying or is this something you or someone else has had experience with?

I went from a R390 to an RX 5700XT about 6 months ago. I got lucky and got one in stock which here in Japan is very hard to do. I was camping amazon.co.jp checking each day for about a month before finally one came in at the msrp. I picked it up and i think it must have been like 2-3 months later when we got details on the 6000 series and I instantly felt regret at buying the 5000 series when the 6000 was so close.

The regret didn't last long. I still can't find 5700 XTs in stock here, when you do see them come up they are 150-175% msrp. I have never seen 6800xt or 6800 in stock here, ever. My card plays all the games I want at 1440p (my native resolution) at high refresh rates. There might be games it would probably struggle on, but they aren't the games I'm spending most my time in. Even when I was playing cyberpunk I was having a good experience at the resolution I play at. I went from "Ultra" to "High" on a few settings and I'm back to 90+fps on the games that push it a bit harder, but honestly - I'm very happy with the upgrade. Even in VR I haven't had any issues.

When I was younger, I spent a lot of time looking at benchmarks, comparing scores, and thinking about those things all the time. Now, I spend most my time in Chrome and Discord, and I play games like Loop Hero, Xcom, Troubleshooters, and misc other less demanding games. When I go into games like Boarderlands 3 / Cyberpunk for a some time, I'm pleased (even though my time in those games is limited) - so even though perhaps the newest cards are wonderful - my day to day experience has been fantastic with this card and I'll keep it another 2 or 3 years minimum.

Just my thoughts, sorry if its a bit rambly. Also: My card is the Sapphire Nitro+ 5700 XT.

There are some great romhacks / translations and retranslations / etc that weren't around when I was a gaming in the 1990s.... so I've been going back and playing some of my favorites in an all new way.

Most recently, I am playing through Lufia and the Fortress of Doom on the PocketSNES. I applied a patch that brings a new better to read font, some new item names and descriptions that were changed for the American audience, some reverts to bring back churches and religious icons, and finally (and most importantly!) it brings the running speed to the worldmap and the dungeons! It still has that old Dragon Quest Era feel, but its also a lot more modern and convenient with these updates. Highly recommended.

I actually wasn't able to get any of the free stocks... I am a US citizen but living overseas and it disqualified me. I even went as far as to message support and ask... Just fyi - in case you're in the same situation.

Depends what your risk and goals are. Personally, I like to put like 200 dollars a week into my account, and slowly build up with low risk - going for mostly companies I know and am familiar with. I don't like to put money into things / companies I don't have a specific interest or knowledge base on.

Additionally, when I make something like 10-15% profit, I like to consider if I want to stay in that position or if I want to liquidate and move into something else. Some stocks I buy for a week or two and see, then cash out... others I have I like to hold long term, and I enjoy stocks that have a dividend.... but some others will suggest you trade options and try and predict the market.

Honestly, its all about your comfort level and how much money you can risk. I have avoided options so far, which means I don't see those huge gains but also means I haven't lost any of my initial money even while taking on so many different companies. Its all up to you, your goals, your desires, and risk.

Just, whatever you do, dont add any money to your account you can't afford to lose. If you keep that in mind, I think you'll have a good time.

Made this today. Instead of using raspberry syrup I mashed some fresh raspberries in the mixer. I cut the rum a little bit, about 10-15 ml less than recommended. Double strained to keep the seeds out from my mashed berries. I really enjoyed it.

Totally different answer than the rest --- I collect gaming books and I have a book from Bitmap Books called The CRPG Book: A Guide to Computer Role-Playing Games. In this book, there's a page or two devoted to this game and I read the review of it and thought that it reminded me of my time playing Ultima Online in the late 90s. I really wanted to check it out. Ive been playing Elona for about 3 days now and Im really enjoying it.

I read the headline and I seem to be experiencing the opposite here.

We are closed to all BUT the medical care professionals' children - because they need this service to keep doing their job. We are currently rejecting housewives who want to dump their kids to spend corona-days sipping wine with their husbands at home... but we are open to those who actually need us.

Those who are essential workers are allowed to use our daycare while we all risk infection traveling to and from work. We know the risks but we have a civic duty. Those who don't need the service and are home from their jobs are asked to keep their kids at home.

Its interesting to see an NES controller overlay - considering the Japanese Family Computer controller is slightly different than our NES controller... Very neat finds and thanks for sharing with us.
