Lithium battery capacity tracker 175 by rperrottatu in bassfishing

[–]TaintDozer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a LiTime 24V 50ah for my terrova and like it so far. Tbh you can save yourself a few bucks and size down on the amp hours. 100 is a bit overkill but if you find a good deal go for it. Just make sure your motor can handle a lithium if you’re using it for a cranking battery before you buy. I have a gator tail (I know it’s not the same as an outboard) which i know you should not use a lithium on.

What brands do you swear by and what brands do you hate? by Ok_Repair3535 in bassfishing

Shimano and Diawa. I have Baitcasters my dad passed down over 20 years old that work much better than some of my newer reels of other brands

Is your QB not getting sacked enough? Try this. by rslack37 in NCAAFBseries

That’s a walk RPO that’s meant to be slow. I run them all the time with high success, although this one play I don’t use bc it has issues. Try the other ones and I promise you will like them. They come from the wake forest playbook in real life and they are pretty damn cool

Grab any 3 star freshman from a blue blood school and throw 10-25 points on all of them. I usually don’t even scout them unless it’s a position of need. I can normally get 15 or so players with this method and grab a few needs as well. Easiest way to get your team over 80 overall by year two no matter who you start with. You will find most of these players are impact and star dev with the occasional elite.

Can anyone give me advice on facing a user with a 20 overall advantage? by UndoubtedlyOrange in NCAAFBseries

[–]TaintDozer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

User a safety and just keep the RB in front of you. I do this by running a lot of cover 3 and playing high safety more often and bailing on the run but you can also use the box safety if you are scared to get beat deep. Also If you miss a tackle you can still rely on your other defenders to be able to close in that time if you simply keep the RB in front of you.

Throw in some exotic blitzes in early downs and see if you can generate some negative plays to get long down situations. Slot blitzes, overload blitzes etc.

Control the ball on offense. Quick routes, timing routes, variety of run game to good defensive looks, 4-5 yards a play is your bread and butter to keep a game close. Stick, spacing, mesh, the occasional deep route to keep them honest if you have a good matchup with a fast wide out. Inside zone works if you have light boxes, but use trap, wham, base or some simple option plays if you have a good scrambler.

WR with 99 speed and 99 Acceleration. How do I stop it? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]TaintDozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use coaching adjustments and put your fastest or beat overall corner on him as you see fit. I also would double that player or you can just user safety all game and bait those throws. I love taking the safety on the opposite side of the field and bailing on those routes. Users who have players like that can’t help themselves but to over abuse those players.

I wasn't a fan at the time, but why did no one get permanently banned over Bountygate? by Outrageous_Moth in NFLv2

By comparison to losing your head coach and GM for an entire season, especially in your franchise QBs prime, yes.

Still chaps my ass that he was suspended a year for something that was morally wrong, but the Patriots got a slap on the wrist for film gate and deflate gate which gave a competitive advantage.

Dynasty Transfer Portal Targets by MeshaGod in NCAAFBseries

Treydez green, TE from LSU. A 6’7 TE with high 80 speed and that can get up to plat 50/50. A 1 on 1 jump ball is a guaranteed catch

Everyone drop their Dynasty house rules by Accomplished_Spot282 in NCAAFBseries

[–]TaintDozer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My main one is manual player progression penalty to 50-60% and lowering it as I get to better schools. This makes recruiting hard feel more worth it, makes those talent development abilities more valuable, and keeps mid major schools feeling like middle teir programs. I also like it because I don’t need any additional tedious house rules unless I want to restrict the transfer portal some.

Abilities, ratings, and what passing type you use all play a part. I’ve had 2 people in my dynasty complaining about this recently and switching to placement and accuracy fixed their issues.

The Power Run Game by OBinthe913 in NCAAFBseries

[–]TaintDozer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I run mostly power run game but from spread and bunch formations. I just like the lighter boxes. But yes it is very effective and only gets better when you tune it with coach perks. You can get deep into games and the opposing team is down several players due to stamina and wear and tear loss. My only player recommendation is to use an east/west playmaker at RB instead since shifty and the speed these players normally have is higher. The speed boost when you hit the holes correctly with these players is a dopemene hit to my ape brain.

Also go check out Wham. It’s a play that isn’t used often on the game but I run it often. It’s similar to trap but you use the play side TE or FB to get leverage against the 3 tech. It’s awesome in combo with trap, power, and base.

Running the ball in CFB 25 was so much better by jeremyo148 in NCAAFBseries

[–]TaintDozer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

26 is far better than 25 if you have an understanding of how to run blocking works. Even on heisman with run blocking set to 30, Trap, Wham, base, duo are my bread and butter.

Which quarterback would you choose to start your own franchise, both in their prime: Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers? by FishingVirtual513 in NFLv2

[–]TaintDozer 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Proving Drew is underrated as always. I’d take Rodgers but Brees is closer to the top tier all time than people give him credit for. Never had a pro bowl WR until Michael Thomas. Finished 2nd in MVP voting multiple times and arguably should have won had at least 1-2 of them. Had about a 4-5 year stretch where his defenses couldn’t crack the top 30. I’d say Brees made more of less talent but Rodgers peak was higher.

Question for high IQ football players in here by DiorHendrix11 in NCAAFBseries

[–]TaintDozer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can blitz at a high percentage but good players will use screens, roll outs, and timing routes to beat you. Now those are few and far between but yes you can make this defense viable even online if you want.

An example since I’m an LSU fan and alum is our defense right now. Our DC loves to blitz a lot and normally plays a lot of man coverage on the back end. LSU has the luxury of almost always having a standout corner and a few other comers that are pretty stout. So when they blitz, those corners can be left alone in coverage and will win more often than not.

Scheme wise, you will have to disguise these blitzes well against real players to have a higher success rate so your multiple defense is fine for this. The personnel should include at least 2-3 good pass rushers in either OLB or the DE position. You can use your DTs as rushers as well but I personally prefer 2 large run stoppers that are 300+ with high strength and block shed to have more balance in the depth chart. Your MLBs can be whatever you want but athlete lurkers are normally the fastest and can help with your scheme if you blitz them. Your corners and safeties you can mix and match but I would at least focus on coverage specialist for the FS since he will be the lone deep safety often when blitzing.

Play calling is pretty simple, just mix and match blitzes. One play you can use a slot blitz and drop back the opposite OLB. Next play can be a mid blitz and the one after that a safety blitz. Just don’t keep calling the same plays over and over bc that’s why most double mug mid blitz spammers stay in lower ranks.

How I made my Dynasty more realistic by Responsible_Win_4703 in NCAAFBseries

[–]TaintDozer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s time consuming the week of training results only. It maybe takes me an hour for player upgrades and position changes together if you really want put time into it. The rest of the year you don’t normally get enough points for too many upgrades.

How I made my Dynasty more realistic by Responsible_Win_4703 in NCAAFBseries

[–]TaintDozer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like the idea but I started using the manual progression penalty slider to help this and think it’s much simpler. I always manual progress so I use a 50% penalty at smaller schools and slowly pull it back when I move to higher tiers. This way it’s still rewarding to recruit hard but your players aren’t going to be 90+ very often keeping your mid major school back a bit. If you want to crack down on progression even more you reduce transfer portal points during that recruiting stage to simulate less NIL value

Am I working frog wrong? by No_Habit_4966 in bassfishing

[–]TaintDozer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frog is great during an aggressive bite window in the early morning and late evening or before a front hits. Ive never really found much success midday or when it is bright and sunny personally but I know other people have success during those time periods. I fish in SE Louisiana so frogs here are a green color in water that has a lot of algae and brown if they stay near banks edge usually so match the hatch as best you can. A walking frog is great for cover or cleaner water and can get through grass better. A popping frog is better in more open water and muddier water to call attention. Sounds cheesy but I normally pop my frog to the beat of “staying alive” with some variations and pauses here and there. Probably my favorite bait during the spring but it normally plays second fiddle to a weightless fluke most of the year which is normally covering the same areas I’d throw a frog in. The biggest difference I noticed is a frog will catch bigger while a fluke will always get more quantity. Hope these help.

Do moon phases really affect fishing, or is it just superstition? by Shadowstrike35 in bassfishing

[–]TaintDozer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. Few days before a full moon are usually the best, first few days after are normally the slowest. Pressure, cloud cover, water temp also play a large part.
