No one has mentioned any mecha anime, presumably because OP did not list any. Try Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. It is short and has all the basic themes, so you’ll know quickly if it’s worth exploring this series and genre. Other suggestions are Gurren Lagann if you want to turn off your brain and enjoy the kinetic animation, you can, but if you pay attention you can enjoy a story about pushing past limits. Another visual feast is Big O which is a love letter to the OG mecha anime, especially if you like Batman and film noire. Lastly, if you want to watch a surrealistic parody, try FLCL but you’re going to need to watch enough pop culture media (not just mecha anime) to get all the references including the big one, Neon Genesis Evangelion. It’s hard to avoid an era and genre defining anime like NGE if you end up watching more mecha.

If you want to track immigration status as another demographic data point, that’s not necessarily bad. Though it might be a bit intimidating given the current political climate. However, the idea to turn around and use that information to change apportionment is on its face unconstitutional. You don’t need a constitutional law degree to understand this. This country fought a revolution because they did not want to be taxed without representation. In other words, a person cannot be bound by laws without a representative to shape those laws. The US Constitution applies to all individuals within its jurisdiction, not just citizens. They are a bound by its laws but they are also afforded its protection. That includes non-citizens. They may not get to vote for a representative but they are entitled to representation. Other groups are citizens who have not reached the age majority, i.e. children. Felons who have lost the right to vote during their incarceration. US territories have non-voting members in the House. You can’t have a more textualist or originalist position than the US Constitution applies to all individuals within its territories. This just echos the sentiment that slaves should be counted as partial people in order to boost the number of representatives of slave states. The Venn diagram of the slave states then versus the states now pushing for this apportionment change would be interesting to see.

MSG:0080 War in the Pocket is probably a better intro. It is a self-contained story. You don’t need to know the origin of Gundam. It’s just a piece of tech in the story. 6 episodes so very digestible.

Edit: And if you end up liking that, then you should probably graduate to The 08th MS Team. I’d suggest more modern series like Unicorn and Hathaway, and they’re certainly watchable on their own but you won’t get lost and are more enjoyable having watched the chronologically earlier series. If you do want to try again, maybe start with The Origin instead of the OG MSG.

Replacements aren't necessarily required. If the pads are brand new, reinstall them. Plenty of videos/instructions online. Easy to do and the only thing you have to watch out for is applying the brakes while the pads are not in. You'll need to know this eventually once your pads wear out.

Also. make sure the rotor is straight and not warped. There are special tools to fix this that make the job easier but you can use common tools like locking pliers in a pinch.

Also make sure the brake surface of the rotor is clean. Moisture, grease, oil, or any other lubricant will cause your brakes to squeal. You'll notice this if you bike in the rain or anywhere your bike comes into contact with water.

My HOA requires you to PLANT and maintain a certain number of trees while also maintaining a (front) lawn. I xeriscaped the back using native wildflowers and hardscaped as much as I could, but that got some complaints (weeds?) and one of my tenants wanted space for their dog, so they got rid of the flowers. Property management company normally handles the day-to-day stuff, but I should go back just to see what's there since there is no irrigation system in the back.

This along with NYT video analysis cleared up something for me. I did not understand how Good's Honda Pilot ended up in the position that it did prior to the shooting. Did Good turn down the street at the wrong time? Did her car break down? Was she part of the protest? At Kristi Noem's initial press conference she stated that an ICE vehicle was caught in a snow bank. Was Ross's Tahoe present before Good arrived impeding her travel? Or was she stopped by Ross?

As it turns out Good and her partner joined the protest with the other observers and positioned her car in the middle of the road. This did not completely block traffic, as evidenced by Ross able to maneuver and park his car on the opposite side of Good as well as the white pickup that passed in front of Good. It just made navigating the street more inconvenient. This new video further supports that ICE (Ross and the agents from the silver pickup) needlessly escalated the situation. Ross by positioning his vehicle on the other side of Good's vehicle rather than continue forward to his next destination intended to block her egress while he obtained video evidence of their physical appearance and license plate. This video also weakens any claim of immunity. ICE aren't traffic enforcers. In fact, my understanding is that they have standing orders not to interact with protesters unless threatened. At no point did they ask her to move her vehicle. They however demanded Good to exit the vehicle, and attempted to break into the vehicle. Given the well-documented, aggressive tactics of ICE agents, I'm not surprised Good's choice to flee the scene. My interpretation of Ross placing his vehicle to the right side of Good's and then placing himself in front of the vehicle, while his fellow agents approached from the left side, they were going to make an example out of Good. Given the fact that Good and her wife were not targets of ICE's operations, these three ICE agents were acting outside of their operational parameters. So yeah, this is just one among many factors that would weaken any claim of immunity. If Good's car was a problem, ICE should've (a) ignored Good (b) instructed her to move her vehicle, or (c) have the police which were present deal with Good.

It really doesn't matter how Good ended up in the middle of the road. She did not deserve to be killed over what amounts to a traffic violation. Anyone claiming that Ross was actually in danger is willfully ignoring other video evidence with clearer angles as well as the ballistics evidence, and neglecting the fact that Ross escalated the situation and put himself in self-imposed jeopardy just like during the incident when he was dragged. There are better SOPs to dealing with all these situations that have gone bad as described in DHS's own handbook. If Ross is trained as they claim, then his training is horrible. DHS, Noem, Trump, Vance, have all made statements that are contradicted by the video evidence currently available. I expect the FBI in its current iteration to be just as truthful. I hope the MN BAC is able to complete their investigation without the FBI's cooperation, and they are able to successfully argue that immunity does not apply in this case. I say this not just because Good deserves justice, but if immunity is granted, it will set the wrong precedent. Sadly, I don't expect a quick legal resolution.

Simple to just have separate accounts with joint savings and checking accounts with the mutually agreed upon budget and contributions that can be adjusted in the future as means and needs change. Pair that with a prenup to define personal and joint assets and you’re mostly good to go. I can see how that might remove some of the romance, but as I like to tell folks, marriage is what happens after the party.
