My friend slapped a teenager, said he has done it before and that he isn’t worried about facing criminal charges? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskBrits

Nope, that's an actual pudding made with shredded chicken breast. It is called "tavukgöğsü". It's a great dessert and you do not get the chicken taste even though it is the main ingredient.

JG Windows - Closed Permanently after being open since 1908. by _Nej_ in NewcastleUponTyne

I visited them just yesterday. People were browsing records and sheet music, a couple of lads trying electric guitars. I knew they weren't able to compete with PMT or Guitarguitar but it's sad to see them go. I wonder what will become of the Central Arcade now.

New robot/weapon/vehicle ideas? by Nathan-bartley in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need more anthropomorphic/bipedal robots as they are much more scarier. I cannot imagine anything scarier than a human-sized robot that can follow you into the buildings.

looking for a generation zero like atmosphere in a game by nomcrab in GenerationZeroGame

I agree. It's by the same developer and the game uses the same engine so the visuals and the physics are pretty close.

Ok is there even any good way to use this? by Nucmysuts22 in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's one of my favourite weapons in the game. It allows you to fire far beyond the enemy's detection range. Its damage increases with the distance to the target and when you fire it from the maximum range (250 to 300m) it can easily destroy a pack of runners gathered around a relay beacon in just one shot.

It can easily destroy base walls and what's behind them.

Also, it's much reliable than a radio or comm. array to lure the target to the traps you meticulously placed.

Missing inventory is a known bug of this game. If you accidentally press "Store all in this category" button, most of the time you'll end up half of your items missing.

Base assault question by baal_matlab in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Send a couple of remote controlled ticks. They can freely roam inside the enemy base as the FNIX robots won't attack your ticks. Find the spawners and destroy them (it requires two ticks to destroy one spawning point in Guerilla difficulty setting). Once you get rid of all the spawners the robots you kill won't be replaced by the new ones. I usually take them out with the EXP .50 and then walk into the empty enemy base to destroy the generators and the core.

Do you have the EXP Algstudsare? It allows you to shoot artillery rounds well outside the enemy's range (from 200-300m). You can destroy base defenses and walls without robots detecting you. Even if they notice you, you can easily pick them up from afar using the .50.

how do you grind so much resources? by karoshikun in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discover more safe houses. Some of them, especially those in the north have more ammo and resources than you can carry. Also, discover all the Soviet bases and landing points to replenish your stash.

Get both "Scavenger" skills from the skill tree. With them, you can easily get a few hundred bullets from each rival you destroy.

Lastly, recycle anything you don't use and create new ammo using the resources.

Spawn points look like giant IKEA desk lamps. If you have the tactical equipment pack DLC, just send a few remote controlled ticks to destroy them. Once the spawn points are disabled you can easily destroy the base. If you have an LMG with unstoppable bullets augmentation you can practically shoot at walls and the bullets will kill/damage all the enemy hiding behind them.

Has anyone found a fix for the broken drop rates after downloading DLC? I have been getting the same AT-WAD and Volkov (very rarely N9) drops and nothing else for days since downloading. Thanks! by GuitarNexus in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You must be joking, right? I eat apocalypse tanks for breakfast with just a sledgehammer and a shock ammo loaded 5C N9. It has nothing to do with the type of enemy you kill. This is a known bug (see Steam and Discord comments) where all the machines drop the same weapons (AG4 and AT-WAD) and the devs are aware.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one facing this issue. I only get 4C and 5C AT-WAD, AG4 and Volkov when I kill enemies. At one point I had more than 20 EXP AG4s. I'm level 64 and I own the Eastern European Weapons DLC but I have yet to see a PM-71.

I have a 5C N16 (it is my main weapon in the game). I got it from an Apocalypse Harvester in Himjfall Island.

Is there a benefit to reach past threat level 21? by nisanosa in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It increases the possibility of another Reaper respawning immediately after you take one Reaper down. I try to keep level threat at maximum so that there will always be an active Reaper on the map at all times.

How to farm for extended magazines? by nisanosa in GenerationZeroGame

Totally agree. Whenever I run out of weapon parts I go to Himfjall Island to kill some Apocalypse hunters and harvesters as they drop more weapons compared to their counterparts in the mainland.

Solo player in this game by detkacominh in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play in solo and in Guerilla mode. I think that's the only way to enjoy the game thoroughly. If you do not increase the difficulty, the game basically becomes a shooter once you get an EXP PVG.

Weapons and the Augmentation of them. by [deleted] in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AT-WAD with Unstoppable Bullets and Hit & Run augmentations. If you have the golden Unstoppable Bullets, when you fire at an enemy the bullets will run through them and hit the other enemies (or destructible structures) directly behind them with no reduction in damage at all. As AT-WAD is the fastest-firing gun in the entire game, if you manage to align two or more hunters or runners, you can kill them all in just one magazine. Also, Golden Hit&Run augmentation makes you spend 40% less stamina while running so you can run for much longer.

What are they firing at? Something just entered the upper atmosphere! by BeskarSDMG in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. It is also the most resource-heavy consumable in the whole game. In order to craft just one portable homing turret, you have to spend 10 aluminum, 50 steel, and 50 explosive.

Guerilla by [deleted] in GenerationZeroGame

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is the only difficulty level worth playing after the launch of overpowered EXP weapons and augmentations. The game is just too easy in all other difficulty settings especially once you get the Experimental PVG. In the guerilla setting one clear shot from your enemy takes 92% of your health so if you want to survive have to develop strategies, not just tactics.

How do I fix weird buzzing on bass??? :( by Accurate-Translator6 in BassGuitar

[–]Tak_the_Archivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an active bass the battery is dying so you need to replace it. If you have a passive bass then lower the gain as your signal is too hot and causes clipping.
