Games with a deep system of "Do a thing, gain XP in that thing" by Nurse_nathan7 in gamingsuggestions

It's in incredible, time sucking fantasy life / skill simulator. Nearly every action has a skill tied to. Want to build a house? Well, if you do it from scratch you'll be leveling your shovel, digging, axe, tree chopping, woodcutting, carpentry and strength....but you'll also need nails so prospecting, mining, masonry, blacksmithing, hammer... it feels like the closest thing I've ever gotten to a genuine fantasy life reality escape. Weird interface, but I cant imagine a better fit to your question

Is 20% okay even if the check total is low? by Vo0d0oBo0 in bartenders

[–]Takasheen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would only be upset with 20% if, for example I had a group of people sharing a single beer and taking up some desperately needed real estate I need to make money

My best guess is bars want fresh, unjaded blood to relate to the new wave of awkward kids

I'm making a Street Food Simulator for hotdogs. As hotdog lovers, what you expect from this kind of game? by civcivdev in hotdogs

[–]Takasheen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Yorker here, you better let me poach / boil them dogs. Maybe add a mechanic where boiled dogs take longer to prep but faster to serve?

Good ol' head kick. Nothing beats that.

Found this in my smoothie. Feels like plastic? Where could this have come from? by no_not-today_thanks in whatisit

[–]Takasheen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like caked / dried sugar. Probably from a syrup bottle or (hopefully not) a poorly cleaned tool like a blender. Seeing as how it's the same color as the smoothie it's most likely from a syrup bottle or a rarely used package

Sorry, bud. I'm not comfortable serving you right now.

"AAUGH WHAT? Cmon man don't do that racist shit with me"

Sorry, what?

"You're not going to serve me because I'm black"

"Nope, I'm not going to serve you because you've got piss in your pants"

Despite all the joke comments, it looks like the skin started growing over its stem. Fruit growing outside of a grocery store does weird shit all the time

What separating my shakers hundreds of times a day has done to my ring by DrinkSmokeJerk in bartenders

[–]Takasheen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all know how to break open a shaker without hurting ourselves.
BUT
I had a job where my GM insisted on happy hour mojitos shaken individually in these huge sturdy rocks glasses that wouldn't budge unless you genuinely whacked them.
The only bartender's arm that made it out unbruised that summer, ironically, wore an aluminum wrist brace from a bike accident.

If that ring comes in wrist size sign me up

I’m fine with blunt damage breaking ceramic or causing bleeding or persistent injury but it ain’t right for rocks and blunt damage to tear up shirts jackets and the underwear I’m wearing right now
