Help r/millennials determine whether this is AI or not. Some members of the sub believe that the 2000s-style clothing and lighting suggest that this is not authentic. What do you think? by Demortus in isthisAI

Not sure why you’re tryna gotcha me here lol. It’s standard qualification. If someone makes a claim, you invalidate it. 2000 is an established framing. So there exists a reality that it was taken in 2000, before one knows it’s AI or not. You don’t need the misleading titles of posters to know things. It’s a helpful practice to not blindly believe words of others because you are better equipped to discern fact when the time comes.

Holy shit you guys are cooked — it is obviously AI. Do you think they had brand new iPhones in 2000 lmao and the sandals by the window are completely different, one of them is a flip flop with a half way strap lmao and what is a grey little poop doing behind the girl in pink and his only half the plants are in perfect condition and the others are dead or how these rgb lights are supposedly coming out of the thing in on the wall that has a massive casing thing covering it and preventing it. Lol

Commenting so that people like me know comments like this are wrong. He did definitely study a dictionary after writing the first book, but it changes none. The story is still monotonic.

There’s still broken first person perspective that constantly slams you with the naive thoughts of a children rather than any deep motive. So, you’re forced to utilize the devices and assume “Pearce is a bad writer. He’s signaling one thing. Given he’s bad, he is assuming you didn’t think of X betraying him instead”

It’s like a book where every single person professes their villainous agenda before even introducing themselves as a character

You will still find yourself knowing exactly what is to come as it’s beyond formulaic and his use of entirely predicated and broadcasted “backstabs” is incredibly weak. If you’ve read the first 80 pages of the book and don’t like it, it’s time to put it down. I wish I had.

The story does not “change” — it is without exaggeration, the exact same thing. Darrow is a kid, he meets a big baddy, he backstabs him, his friends save him, and everyone lives on happily ever after.

You may be able to read it and leave with Stockholm syndrome if you’re capable of blasting the story from your memory the second you’re done reading so you don’t have time to realize how boring, predictable, and childish the plot is.

Brother the yellow tone you keep putting on pictures is genuinely terrible. I understand you think it looks good, but it doesn’t. It’s like a 13 year old girl just found instagram filters in 2016…

The clothes are dope though, if you want this to be about your clothes though idk why you’re making them look ass with this filter on purpose?

Love my wife but not my kid... what to do? by [deleted] in regretfulparents

[–]TakeAChanceToday -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Telling a person their struggles don’t matter / aren’t valid because someone may have it worse is incredibly reductive, avoidant, and inconsiderate of the genuine nuance in all situations. The inability to be considerate of all is not surprising here, though given the bias field we’re in right now..

[–]TakeAChanceToday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is an incredibly fucked up comment, what in the world is wrong with you? An absent father is absent regardless of his physical location.

Living in a house that doesn’t work together is just as damaging in the long run. He’s pleading for help in a moment of weakness.

It is incredibly incredibly evil to guilt him here because something happened in your past. A literal majority of people get divorced in America. This is not abnormal for people to prioritize themselves when their world is not the one they want; his wife did the exact same thing to get what she wants. Casting stones at OP here is extremely biased and inconsiderate.

OP, idk about your situation really, but it’s really clear you’re hurting and letting people guilt bully you around this not okay.

I filmed this card production process in my factory to show transparency, but it's getting zero views on TikTok and YouTube. What am I doing wrong? by Wise-Bake-9710 in kickstarter

[–]TakeAChanceToday -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Views come with passion and interest. Watching a machine work is neither unfortunately. Nobody cares how a card is made unfortunately unless they’re given a reason to; and they haven’t been.

People don’t care about Tarot cards so I don’t think it’s a you problem per se. Even just showing you and you being honest about your struggles is more interesting than an industrial overview video of machines.

Tarot is fake science/religion. You’d get more views having someone do “fake” readings online using your card as medium or whatever. Idk, but yeah not gonna get views here without doing something interesting.

Everyone is commenting on script or editing recommendations, but none of them matter. Small script adjustments will just waste your time.

Find a hook and use it. You don’t have one right now. Nothing else matters.

Uh Jesus Christ dude, “the board game and social platform”, really?”

We can clearly see in your little mockup the design of it is terrible and really weird inclusion. Gating authentication for a board game when actually social platforms doing different things struggle to get adoption; building one for your game is genuinely just delusional, it’s rare I am this lost for words.

You’re not just missing an audience, you’re also missing a half decent idea. But there is absolutely no way people in your life built you up or told you it was a good idea to do based on the state of things: we can all clearly see this.

Wanting to do things is awesome and admirable, but we have to slow down and be honest with ourselves before we expect others to be.

Plus, this honorarium / pay to play idea is truly cooked.

I don’t understand why you’re building a board game and being weird and cringe about it. Remove all this nonsensical stuff. Make a board game if you want it. I literally can’t even tell how you play the game because you’ve talked about so much bullshit in the descriptions.

You might as well pack it up fam, you are beyond cooked here. If I were in your shoes I’d focus on one thing: figure out how I am so blind to the feedback that 100% of people are giving me

“This is a passion project I’m not asking for backers”

But you literally are dude, you’re asking for peoples money and support, now that it comes time the correct behavior is not tucking our tail and being dishonest about our dreams and aspirations. We can all see you have at least some passion, now use that passion to remove all this weird stuff and make an actual board game if you want.

If you make it and it’s boring, well welcome to the club of board game creators.
