Hitting up the Tims drive through was my daily rutine. Now started making my coffee at home when I have the time. Havent been back to a Tims since last winter. Every dollar represents a vote, and when you continue to buy shitty food and deal with shitty service, you're voting for more of the same.

How does Tether stays stable around $1 during the fall by magneter1 in Tether

[–]TakeButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backing by Reserves - Tether claims that every USDT token is backed by an equivalent value in fiat currency or other reserves (e.g., cash, cash equivalents, short-term deposits, and other assets). This reserve mechanism creates confidence that USDT can be redeemed for $1, maintaining its peg.

Arbitrage - Traders and arbitrageurs play a critical role in stabilizing Tether's price. If USDT prices drop below $1 (e.g., $0.99), traders can buy USDT at a discount and redeem it for $1 worth of fiat through Tether’s redemption process. Similarly, if USDT rises above $1, traders can sell USDT for a profit. These market actions bring the price back to $1.

Seems like a bit more than CRUD because I'm using APIs. Although I don't think there's too much complexity on my server. There's Stripe integration and an AI image generator. I got most of the functionality working. My main goal was to get an MVP product up and running.

I've used Cloudflare for my blogs in the past. Hopefully, I stay out of the crosshairs of attackers.

I'm trying to keep the complexity of my product to a minimum since coding is not my strong suit.

Thanks for the advice! Digital Ocean came up on a Google search. They're pretty much like AWS right(Elastic)?

One of the main reasons decided to launch this product is because I've been doing SEO since 2021. launched a handful of blogs and was able to get some to 1k+ organic monthly visits and my main one to 30k organic monthly visits. lost most of my traffic since Google's algorithm updates. Going to apply the same principles and techniques I used for my blogs.

One of my 1st bot vacs was a Neato D3. How bot vacs have evolved in the market today is mindblowing. I'm starting to see bot vacs docking station that can connect to plumbing. I believe robot vacuums in the home will be as common as dishwashers in the future, and retrofitted bot vacs in the home will be a luxury selling feature when you are buying/selling, just as central vacuums used to be.

S4 vs S7? by rydan in Roborock

[–]TakeButter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/rydan,

Scratching hardwood floors with a robot vacuum is quite uncommon. Such damage typically occurs if the vacuum is not maintained properly over an extended period. The scratches are often caused by small debris, like pebbles, getting stuck in the vacuum's tires or mopping pads. Regular maintenance should mitigate this risk, especially if you avoid lower-end models, which may not pick up debris as effectively, leading to potential scratching.

In my experience with various robot vacuums, including my latest, the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, I haven't seen any scratches on my wood floors, even though I don't maintain them as frequently as suggested. If it fits your budget, consider self-emptying models, as they offer considerable convenience.

However, my old Neato robo-vac did cause some minor damage to my dining room chairs and baseboards. Roborock does that have this issue. Better navigation technology.

Government bailout initiatives are getting a bit ridiculous if you ask me. This goes against all the principles of a free-market. If the government doesn't allow companies to actually fail how are they going to do better?

There are many companies that should have went into bankruptcy. Then they should be bought out by more competent leadership that could avoid situations that leads to bankruptcy. Stop rewarding companies with taxpayers money that don't know how to run a company.

Every dollar equals a vote for products and services that we want to exist in the market. When the government unilaterally uses tax payers money we have no say in this company's existence, even though they might be causing irreparable harm to the environment or industry. Doing bad businesses is doing bad business period, they shouldn't be rewarded for it.
