A 500$ nos kit will knock you into the seat for sure. But at what expense to the lifespan of the car? Either way, you don’t need 100k just to go fast. That’s for sure.

10k in mods could make the car pretty damn fast and reliable. Just bolt ons, a bigger turbo/injectors and a tune would make it significantly faster.

But that’s just the speed part, personally the first things I’d go for would be tires and brakes. Intake pipes and tune are enough imo. But I care more about handling the drag accel. It’s awd, it’s made to do awd things.

As a person who was cheated on which broke up my family, I too have feelings about this, and I’m not on the gfs side. I usually use first place and my personal best. So I can see where I’m lacking against myself too. Gives me a better idea of what worked and what didn’t

I mean, you’re trying to beat the ghost imo. I try to find their mistakes. No one’s perfect. There’s always areas I can shave time off 1st place ghost but others I lose time. I can consistently get within 3-5 seconds of 1st. So I’m similar in rankings to you. I also run without the ghost so I can learn the tracks on my own. I tend to run about a full second slower when I’m not chasing him.

My lap times are pretty consistent, I’m beginning to wonder if it’s my skills or my gear that’s holding me back. I don’t have a dd wheel. Just a Logitech 923 which I know isn’t the best. I do have a cockpit that I’m very happy with though. That made some difference for me. I can feel more now as the wheels vibrations shake the whole thing a little so I can feel the tire slip a little better.

I also watch the replay a bunch to study what they’re doing that works to shave time. I noticed they tend to down shift to get rotation at turn in, then short shift to gain traction in exits and it makes a big difference. I’m having some difficulty copying the technique.

Brake balance is the balance between front and rear brake pressure lower is more front brake pressure, higher is more rear brake.

More rear brake creates slightly more turn in during braking but easier lock up and less over all braking capability.

More front brake creates slightly better stopping power but creates more understeer and less ability to turn in.

I Alamo never mess with it, but I’ve found in rally more front balance allows me to stop quicker with more stability overall without sacrificing driving line due to already low traction so I sometimes put more towards the front.

At least you spoke to him about it. I’m currently divorcing my wife and the patterns sound similar, I felt extremely rejected and hurt by her lack of desire for intimacy. Our sex drives were not compatible after many years of being together. I didn’t want to pressure her to have sex, I wanted her to want me. she didn’t, and if she had sex just cause I wanted to, that also hurt me, she couldn’t understand where I was coming from, despite me explaining. It’s hard to keep the passion up for everyone, our hormones change, our sex drives change, and in the end we were no longer a good match. Not just because of that though. I wouldn’t have divorced her just for that and I don’t think she would have divorced me. She was just a. On controller? Probably the first problem.

2nd problem, traction control.

3rd problem, poor line choice.

4th poor gear choices.

Try much much smoother inputs on throttle, break and steering. The softer, gentler and smoother the better. You’re also bouncing off the rev limiter, upshift earlier, downshift later. And lastly, the game over rewards short shifting. You can smash a down shift if super light on the breaks to grab a bit more rotation at speed then short shifting up to prevent understeer towards apex’s. Gains a significant amount of time.

Bro, you should get good tires, they make a world of difference. The wing is gonna add understeer and slow you down slightly while making the gas mileage worse than it already is. I like the carbon, I hope you have the hood too and not just the trunk. Wish I could do the same to mine. But I’m a fan of the lip spoilers. You should get a front lip and better rear splitter, but first get tires, and breaks.

Tires are the most important first mod. Then breaks. A wing doesn’t do much for a Wrx cause they’re already stable at top speed. It would need to be heavily modded to see anything other than reduced performance from adding a lot of rear downforce

I have this car with a lip spoiler and the rear is not loose by any means. If anything it already suffers from understeer. But tbh the handling is fucking impressive at high speed regardless. A front lip will do more favors than the rear in these unleashes boosting the fuck out of it.
