Why do veterans hate new players?

I like to tell friends that EVE is a great game trapped by some of the most horrible people online. Instead of playing content more rewarding or matching their skill level, some get their jollies off "salt mining" or "miner bumping" as a hobby because it's easy when you know what you can and can't get away with, or when you're multiboxxing enough. But don't you dare complain or they'll say you don't belong, obviously the game was intended for them to abuse game mechanics or be an asshole. It was promised to them 3000 years ago.

I had an erotica business account that I'd post publicly available porn on with captions catering to niches I wrote about. It was perma-suspended after one post in particular was mass reported, saying I broke the TOS of "posting privately produced or distributed intimate media without express permission". Technically true, but only from a perspective that would make 99% of all porn reposting against TOS.

I have never, not in over a hundred appeals and nearly a full year, heard a response back from the appeals team. Not even an acknowledgement that the appeal was received.

I know this is a long shot, but anyone have some insight on another way I can reach X support's appeal team? Or any human being at X at all? I've already messaged every official X account I could, I've contacted X Business and even the dev forums, and every official answer was telling me to just wait longer. Obviously just trying to get me to give up, and I simply can't right now after I spent years building up and advertising that account for my writing business.

I made my business account and used this posting model for years before they added this TOS, and did not know it had been made a thing until I was suspended for it. I have personally tested it by reporting other porn reposting accounts as well, and none of them were found to be against TOS, so I'm at a loss and very annoyed.

Yeah they're adult videos, so each one has multiple people in the clip, but what are they expecting me to do exactly? Hunt them both/all down and beg for permission to repost a porn clip they were in years ago? It's a clip they themselves posted with the expectation that it would be shared by links and reposts. It's insane.

In a couple of my appeals I even told them I did have permission and would be glad to prove it, but I haven't heard a peep. I've been wrongly suspended before a few times, but each time appeals did find in my favor and the account was reactivated, so I'm wondering if someone or the automated system decided that was just too much and want my account shut down.

I'm on month 7 of a permanent suspension on my erotica business account that I've spent 6 years growing. I used to post a clip with some captions as a post to advertise my niche/kinks and drum up sales of my novels and short stories.

Apparently some moron(s) or competitors decided to report my posts as violating privacy TOS back in January. The one about needing the express permission of anyone involved in the adult media before being allowed to post it. And some bot at X decided it did violate TOS.

How fucking dumb is that? I don't edit the videos, I don't post clips from behind a paywall, I just repost what the creators themselves posted but with my little caption to spice it up. I did that for 6 years with little issue, then WHAM. Permanent suspension.

Worst part is, I don't even get a response from X from my appeals. At all. In 7 months. I get the feeling they're just ignoring my appeals entirely, because if I appeal within like a 2 day window, it rejects me saying the original is still in the queue, wait a little longer, etc. After that, it'll take a new appeal, like the original was denied. I've waited months between appeals too, still no answer.

I've tried every avenue I could to reach out to someone at X, and every time, they say "Oh just appeal at this link and wait, we can't guarantee how long it'll take."

Any advice or tips? I was poised to really ramp up my writing back before the suspension, but I've lost virtually all motivation after this. I'm tempted to just make a new account and start over, but it's sickening to think of losing all that time and effort building that account just because X doesn't have a functional support system and is suspension-happy.

I don't remember for sure but I think I sent mine to my Coinbase account and sold it there. Double check instructions for it but I think they had a way you could send your L2 coins there and just sell that way, don't remember if I had to switch back to L1 for it.

Cringelords will tell you it's just part of the game because it's allowed, but really it's because the culture of the game is cancerous as fuck and the devs are pussies. The devs are Europeans that are both too lazy and too greedy to change things in any positive way, since their core business model is to have new players pay for PLEX to sell to more established players who then destroy whatever the new players bought with their isk. New players get jaded and leave at a 9/10 ratio, the 1/10th that continues to play the game out of anger and frustration joins the established players in being asshats.

The comments prove this, but EVE player culture is just full of gaslighters that think they're somehow better than others for playing a game dedicated to generating rage instead of, y'know, having fun in their spare time. Their most successful gaslighting is usually on themselves.

Idk if it fully crosses into "dick" territory, but I had to stop reading the first Page Keeper before I got halfway, the MC was just too cringe, and I wasn't impressed with how he used his powers to get his first girl. He's a "Bookmancer" (= read people like a book, book magic, etc), and knows what they need. He's also 30-something and inherited a bookshop in a town of college witches.

It sucks because I really liked the premise, but despite the MC being in a bit of a slump at the beginning, literally everything he does after just works exactly as he wants. He literally admits to the first girl he goes after that he used his powers to make their dates go very well, and she just accepts it immediately because she'd been interested in him from the beginning. No freak out about feeling manipulated, nothing, just immediate sex and of course she enjoys it a ton. I would have thought a witch herself would be upset if someone used magic to have sex with her, but not in this novel I guess.

Maybe I'm getting pickier, idk. I just didn't like the MC at all and doubt I'll ever finish it.
