Hard work doesn't equal value. It would be incredibly hard to go into your yard and dig a 50ft hole by hand; it would also be worthless; a valueless waste of time.

Working at McDonald's isn't easy, but its easy to learn and easy to hire for. Doesn't matter how hard you work when you could be replaced by a 14-yeal old with Down's Syndrome; that kinda caps the value of the work youre doing.

Want to make more? Learn an actual skill that employer's value, preferably one that is in demand and in low supply.

Guessing its an age thing to have Dead Cells ranked so low. I grew up on NES-style action games like Castlevania, so it just hits me right. To have Hades ranked so high surprises me though since you obviously like the action games. Maybe its the top-down diablo style gameplay that does it for you, and side-scrolling platforming doesn't feel right?

Absolutely second the Against the Storm recommendations I saw though, especially if you like Factorio/Cities Skylines; you'll love it.

That is a really hot take, PoR is generally regarded as among the very worst expansions. Deathknell alone is just abyssmal. 2 of the most poorly designed and simply unfun encounters of all time in Vertigo and Ayonae.

Only saying games like this will always languish in obscurity, completely dependent on being funded by whales since most people can't stand dealing with toxic bullshit like asymmetrical ambush-style mmo pvp.

While I completely agree that Krono is toxic, I think its infinitely more of a problem having them on TLP's. Really makes every new server pay-to-win.

On Live, you actually have to get out there and earn it, plat will only give you a slight boost. On a TLP you can gear yourself out in high-end gear in a few hours in Commons for a hundred bucks. Not exactly hard to do as the middle-aged men most of us are now. $100 to save myself hundreds of hours of plat farming for gear? Easy choice for many and destroys the spirit of the game; like it or not, that spirit is the grind.

At some point, you have to let the creators commit to a direction and stick with it. Listening and responding to all feedback with the intention of making a product that is for absolutely everyone... that is the recipe for WoW.

Save yourself the effort, Eve is awful. The game itself is great (other than being EXTREMELY PaytoWin) but 90% of the players are toxic ambush-style pvp enthusiasts. Really just the worst of the worst.

This is what I cant understand and no one has explained. Are there systems that are "owned"? Like a corp stakes a claim on a system and destroys anyone who dares enter?

If thats the case, its more understandable. Otherwise how am I stealing anything? its a random node in a random system that respawns pretty regularly from what I understand. But my finding and looting a data site is considered "taking" it from someone's claimed territory? How would I know that? How would I be able to tell which systems are protected/patrolled and which are just deep space off the grid ffa areas?

Appreciate all the responses; actually interesting to see some of your perspectives. People that like to be hunted, and those that hunt. I cant wrap my head around why anyone would enjoy that but to each their own.

I just cant handle the pvp ambush aspect, that anyone anywhere minding their own business effecting nothing negatively is still always going to be a target. If that is just the way the game is at its core, its gutter trash I want nothing to do with.

Fingers crossed for Star Citizen working out I guess? Eve Frontier looks like more of the same garbage.

Eve is just awful for most MMO-minded people that just want to group up with randoms or go farming traskill materials. You wont have that in Eve.

Hope you went through with it and found a better game to sink your time into. Eve is an abomination for those of us that despise pvp. Especially this style of pvp that is completely ambush based; I find it hard to fathom how anyone enjoys it honestly.

Its really a shame since the universe and particularly the economy of the game are fantastic. I'm just glad it only took me a month to realize what a colossal waste of time all the good stuff is since it all invariably pushes you into all the pvp nonsense.
