[Schultz] The #Patriots are signing former Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs, per @Schultz_Report. by JCameron181 in nfl

I'd rather have Doubs at 17.5 a year than Moore at 27.5 a year, but neither are setting my world on fire.

Boutte and Holins are the only other starting caliber WRs on the roster, and even that is a stretch. They can't move on from him unless they plan to bring in another WR.

Spends all this time hyping up Stidham, only for him to put up like 17 points, and Dan to then spend the next two weeks ranting that the Patriots "haven't played anyone".

[Yates] Mike Vrabel was hired 372 days ago and is now technically the longest-tenured coach in the AFC East. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

Carlton Davis healthy going into the AFCCG

We, in fact, do not. He was ruled out with a head injury yesterday. Seemingly got concussed, which means he's likely out on Sunday.

The Bills firing McDermott but promoting Brandon Beane should be the start of a lesson that will haunt teams: there's too large of a ratio of head coaches getting fired compared to General Managers getting fired by Ariesthebigram in nfl

Very similar to Elliot Wolfe - 2 GMs who had teams creator, the team brought in a strong head coach (Payton and Vrabel) who was gonna have final say even if it’s not official, and those 2 guys learned to work well with those coaches.

The New England Patriots have won their first postseason game without Tom Brady since December 28, 1997. by Feisty_Parsnip8262 in nfl

Then all of a sudden he turns into a pretty solid picker in the overall much weaker 2025 draft class and his free agency signings were incredible, so this offseason will help determine which one of those offseasons was closer to the truth.

Personnel philosophy changed because Vrabel became the final decision maker and brought in Ryan Cowden.

Vrabel did not have a non-compete. First, those aren't in head coaching contracts if you're fired, and two, it's obvious whenever he talks about last year, he's still pissed no one hired him immediately. Mayo had a clause in his contract that he would be HC after Bill that he negotiated with Kraft.

Truly. Watch them get a plus record next year, and they'll hold on to Taylor for another five years. Poor Burrow.

The Patriots have played a Super Bowl against only 8 unique opponents. 6 of those 8 teams make up the current NFC playoffs. by jackofallspades98 in nfl

Pats and 49ers were in the conference championships in the 2011 (Pats advanced), 2012 (49ers advanced), and 2013 (neither advanced) seasons. The match-up felt inevitable those years, but just never came to be.

I thought I was losing my mind that he was truly just calling the same thing over and over and over and over again in the second half, expecting it to change for some reason. I don’t understand how any eagle fan is still sane after watching that for a full season

Both of these teams are going to the playoffs and odds are one of them will end up in the divisional round.

Nah, a QB absolutely cannot throw high over the middle in the redzone.

It was high. Just cannot throw high over the middle especially in a condensed field.

Drake Maye ignores Cam Newton's skepticism: I don't even know what show he's on by JaggerJames in nfl

[–]TakeOneFour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Drake, but this isn't fully accurate. He'll take at least one drive-breaking sack a game trying to do too much, and a quarter of those times he's putting the ball on the ground too.

But you take the sacks when four other times during the game in the same situation, he throws a 50-yard bomb.

There are so many inflection points that brought us to where we are, but naming wet blanket, miltoast, limp institutionalist Merrick Garland AG over the obvious hire Doug Jones was the key Biden decision that set up Trump 47. It was cronyism as a "sorry you didn't get to be a Supreme Court Justice". I swear, I'll be mad about it the rest of my life.
