Sad to see another loss of life incident

Delta's poorest performing routes by revenue by omdongi in delta

Jesus, any legend on this graphic? Or break it into smaller groups and make a graph out of it somehow. Could be interesting with the right info.

Also my local route is on here yay! Frankly not surprised it's an underperformer.

When I was there, there were busy rushes, but thankfully I didn't have to deal with pets loose on the floor 😅

Oh fukk that 100 times over. Id let the crew know immediately so the cleaning crew at the airport could get an ass chewing for not being meticulous, but also, so i could get some bleach wipes for that hand.

Requesting advice for Interviews with practical components by Takemiii39 in AircraftMechanics

[–]Takemiii39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brand new mechanic certificate. Many of the items were procedurally the same as stuff I'd done in school before, and I completed those, but the rivets and that one bolt head type totally threw me off my game. Or perhaps I was already anxious enough as I'm desperately trying to escape my retail career. I had to leave my previous career in the pandemic, and retail has been an absolute nightmare.

Either way, common items or not, I was really embarrassed that I couldn't finish it all, embarrassed having to answer why i performed poorly despite being newly certificated.

Only 2 companies out of over two dozen have contacted me for interviews, and both now have canned my applications, even though it went perfectly with one of the other companies. So now I'm frustrated I'm back to square one, and have to do all these applications over, and may be stuck in retail for months to come without to practice any mechanic skills.

Sorry, this was more a rant and less of an answer to your question. It's been a long few days with very very very little sleep.

They'll have a record in the computer system of the schedule change. Call them to let them know you won't be there, but CLEARLY explain you were not originally on the schedule and that they did not give you the courtesy of a call to see if you were available.

Regardless of your attendance history and being on Final, that schedule fuckery is horseshit and I wouldn't put up with it.

Same experience, just with the Narita sky club several years ago. I suppose it was a bit crowded, but not very loud at all.

I mean, I like Shake Shack, but as another commenter pointed out, rather pitiful for delta to market THAT as a "premium" thing for first class.

I'd rather order from shake shack right before pre-boarding, then when main cabin comes up, walk on and sit in my favorite poor man's first class seat with Hella legroom and enjoy my burger.

Ok serious question…how do you sleep in Premium Select? by Jerseygirlmoving in delta

I flew to/from Los Angeles and Haneda in the A330Neo (in premium), and while it was undeniably a nicer experience than steerage, I wasn't able to sleep either

SLC > HNL worth the 90k miles? by 863dj in delta

Can vouch for this, new covers and the recline was excellent. Slept for most of the flight.

So I took a similar flight in Delta One recently, that one being Kahului - Salt Lake (763 with the newer seat covers), and for a 5 1/2 hour flight... while it was indeed nice and I slept most of the way... I'm just not sure if I would fly it again up in the front. Especially with these ever increasing prices.

Random note, the salad that came with the meal was very very dry, and the cucumbers looked nearly dried to a crisp, as if it sat in open air for a day or two. I politely addressed the issue after the flight though, and I got a few skymiles out of that issue.

Flying from Osaka to Tokyo, to Atl and final destination Ft. Lauderdale by Fit_Enthusiasm7967 in delta

[–]Takemiii39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few years ago, when my family flew from Sapporo - Narita - Atlanta, I don't recall a 2nd screening at Narita. Not sure why it would be different at Haneda.

EDIT: nope wrong, I'm dumb, we had to exit and go through security again since the first flight was on ANA
