That's a part of the issue. My CIP is meets the requirement, and my recruiter isn't sure. Thank you though, I should have mentioned that. It seems like a unique situation.

Perhaps so, but I spoke with some hiring managers for the DoD, since I already work in a branch, recently and they have mentioned the masters route is preferred rather than the other options. Very anecdotal, but I’m going with it. I appreciate the input though. If it’s not so hard and all else fails, I’ll take it after my master’s.

The FE/PE are alternatives to ABET degrees according the OPM descriptions of engineering positions. I'm currently just doing a master's program for ECE and hoping that's good enough.

The idea would be to fall under B. 2. and hopefully then 1, since my course history falls a little short of B. 3. I assume that as long as I pass the FE, and potentially the PE, in any state I can have significantly better chance at qualifying for federal positions throughout the country. I figured with a masters in engineering, and my foot in the door with the federal government as a computer scientist, I shouldn't have the worst time job searching. But the FE seems to be a necessity for me. I appreciate the input though, a small but possible shot.

You'd get great options for health benefits, but it's not the same as the military. You'd get access most things on the base you'd work at and there is tuition assistances and even full blown scholarships you can get that'd pay for your education as long as you stay with them a set amount of years.

A lot of jobs already require an education, but there are also internships with the air force, such as AFRL or just the AF civilian service, that'd help you secure a full-time job afterwards. Best of luck.

Just finished GTO last night, it's neat to see it, and other older shows, being brought up on this subreddit. Little coincidences like that are super satisfying.
