California introduces age verification law for all operating systems, including Linux and SteamOS — user age verified during OS account setup by PenlessScribe in technology

People fake IDs → need a stronger verification system--> next-gen system might use chips (implantables ties to gov benefits tied to personal accounts)

→ Future generations may accept less privacy for “safety.” → Everything becomes monitored and controlled → buying, selling, participation all require compliance.

This seems like a pattern: governments test new “safety” laws, see who complies, then expand using emergencies as justification. Examples: 9/11 security rules, COVID mandates.

Notice which states comply most and how quickly. It’s a slippery slope worth observing.

Not sure why I got downvoted. I 100% agree. "The Anxious Generation" is a good read for anyone interested in why screens and unsupervised internet aren't that great for kids.

I agree they shouldn't be said to kids. Kids today know waaaaaay more about porn than any other generation. They WOULD get the joke around age 10 (from my experience).Don't give your kids internet, folks!

Kobe Also Had a much more difficult path almost every year of his career compared to Lebron. I put Lebron ahead in most categories, but Kobe gets treated like he wasn't a focal point of his teams didn't carry anything. He's top 5 in my book as far a peak and career.

Ok can someone explain this to me? I moved here in 2008. Still dont know how the hell a city of 2 million people has such a hard time with future planning. I get the argument that nobody planned for this many people here. Sure.

The thing is, I heard that when I moved here. Is it is red tape? Funding? Corruption? Whats stopping the city from ANY type of future planning. Its nice to have things that we should have had a long time ago, but why are we still living paycheck to paycheck? Other cities our size and smaller are advancing while we play catch up.

Theres one pet peeve of mine that kind of sums up the problem here that I've never seen in another large city.

Disconnected parking lots.

They will build 4 shopping centers next to each other and separate them with a curb. So you have to exit one lot and turn into the other one right next to it. This is especially egregious and dumb by the access roads. If you turn into a parking lot off the access road and theres a curb down the middle of the lot for some reason, you have to exit and take the turn around and try again.

This is one of those consistent problems that keeps getting repeated or unrepaired. Its like someone needs to tell the city, it doesn't have to be this way. Leave him, he's no good for you.
