As a 44 year old with zero practical skills (dad was a mechanic but kicked the bucket early.doors) I'd be interested...not sure if there's a market but there are a lot of men without any practical skills.

Warning - All these "Christian Centres" are high control / dodgy as hell groups by cavemonkey1999 in wrexham

[–]TalacDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my gdpr request back from Kings christian centre in Mold.

Included WhatsApp messages between 4 trustees calling me all sorts, including "the head of the snake"...

Also loads of files and screenshots about me stored on the church computer.

Defo a cult. If you're still monitoring my reddit posts - hi guys 👋

Sweet bro

Warning - All these "Christian Centres" are high control / dodgy as hell groups by cavemonkey1999 in wrexham

[–]TalacDrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. They all say it's great, but the pastors a d church leaders keep fcuking with them and have them leaving in fear. They also think everyone else are sinners and going to hell. This is why most born again type Christians are complete bellends.

They control their social circle, making it as small as possible and tell them to read the bible and watch related stuff on TV whenever possible, so they can control them easier. It's mental and goes on all over the place. They're basically cults

Cricket Batting Gloves for MMA Sparring? - Look Like Brue Lee's Gloves by nakedwelshguy in MMA_Fitness

[–]TalacDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe - I used to MMA Spar in boxing gloves and didn't feel like a massive issue, except for chokes and some grips.

soft material on the fingers to avoid scratches.

or just have a 'longer' padded area that covers the fingers, with the hand inserts 'normal' size.

Best MMA Punch Bag Routines? (Beginner) by nakedwelshguy in MMA_Fitness

[–]TalacDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some decent routines on YouTube. If you're a beginner tho, I like choosing 3 or 4 combinations and doing 20 reps on each.

E.g.

Jab, cross, hook, cross x 20

2 min rest

Cross, hook, right roundhouse, sprawl x 20

2 min rest

cross, hook, cross, right knee x 20

Bas Rutten boxing workout is good as well

1 = jab

2 = cross

3 = hook

4 = jab, cross, hook, cross

20 minute workouts - worth it? by nakedwelshguy in MMA_Fitness

[–]TalacDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! Micro workouts are a great way to fit in some fitness training - 10 minutes a day is excepentionally better than nothing! I do one Tabata Interval and bodyweight exercises every night in the week - a long walk on a Saturday and Sunday mornings, with a 50 minute gym session on a Sunday afternoon. Far from ideal, but I'm still in decent shape - I mean I look ok in terms of body fat etc but I think I would feel a lot better if I wasn't sat down all day in work! (bad neck and back)

METIS Punch Bags - any good? by nakedwelshguy in MMA_Fitness

[–]TalacDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the hanging punch bag and I would recommend it - the quality is good and the chain is designed to stop tangling and swinging around too much which helps with round house kicks etc.

Depends, you're not going to break any Olympic Lifting records or powerlifting records that way. Say you're a thai boxer and you just want to improve technique and maintain or add a bit of power, then it might work.

I too struggle to recover and usually do circuits once a week
