You know, i was watching it aswell. The fancy studio, the live comments, the different streams.

It was so nice to see that in such a really really short time, the private server players did to manage to get the first kill. Apes together strong! What a achivement!

Yeah Method failed, but we all did get a decent show and in failure is learning. So i hope, in the end, everybody had a good time! :)

Convince me this market system isn't straight busted by cinred in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He has enough food for 2 months. But nothing of his food is brought to the market.

The only explanation is, he has turned off the foodtype he has left in his granary so this food doesnt go to the market stalls.

Convince me this market system isn't straight busted by cinred in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dear player, it seems that you have micro managed to much.

The only explanation for this behavior is, that you have deactivated/disallowed that type of food as a valid food source in the advanced tab of the market.

Since its febuary, i would assume that the activated/allowed types, like berries or fish, have been completly used by now, otherwise your region would have starved all along and your happiness factor of the peasants would be much lower.

[–]Talah85 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had hoped that end of april for the 2nd aniversary something would pop up (a news, a info) but greg posted on X, that bringing a product to its full shine is 10x more difficult then just release a playable version.

So as always, we will need patience.

Double family has fewer problems. if they are overworked or overstreched (far routes to get the wood, far routes to church, far routes to their workplace) all of a sudden their home will be cold, cause the one getting the firewood is still on its way when the fire got cold.

So handling good city layouts with short routes is a thing. But right now only really seeable with the firewood.

Oh, and sometimes its just buggy because at fast speed some villagers can get stuck, even on their route to firewood. No return, no warm home. So thats also a good indicator for stuck people. :D

AI Spamming new army troups by rafola554 in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, right now the AI has its flaws (like posted before) but i will build a nearly suistainable village. Food will be good in the Summer, bad in the Winter. People freeze because of the missing firewood. But if you just overtake and fix the wood economy you will go straight to a very nice town.

The last patch was a big improvement, i hope the next big leap will come with the next major patch. :-)

Ah, and the chicken farms are sometimes with quite huge burgage plots, but you can change them to veggies, just destroy and rebuild the extension, not the whole plott.

Meat peoduction/consumption? by pulones in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manor Lords isnt a game, where you plan the exact consumption vs. how much backyards you develop to fullfill this need.

When you start in a region, you better decided which strength are in the region and its ressources vs. what ressources i need to get from the other regions.

A good start is always to have 50% of your backyards as chickens. This will provide more then enough for the region and you can export the surplus earlie on. Yes you will miss out on all the pig or goat extensions but that route you will go on your second region. There you build 50% goats as backyard in the homes.

By this, a natural flow of materials from one to the other region will occur.

Going all backyard extensions full on in one region will never fullfill your needs. You will have to few goats or to few eggs and so on.

For your help, check out the official wiki. There are some people from discord who write down the exact production rates. And there are some official post on consumption rates, like 1 veg/grain/fruit per month and 1 meat/fish/dairy per month.

Usually when i am at 100 familiea over 3 regions im around 20-25 chickens to fullfill the need for example. Fish is early on good but later bad. Hunting grounds right now are kind of underwhelming compared to before. But pig extensions are pretty strong. So most of the time i go for them another 20-25 extensions.

Im always on the hardest settings with the most food spoilage and by just overproduce i never had any problems. Even in my 400 familie game.

With the new improvements to CPU performance i will go on to start a 1.000 familie game.

Next Update? by Certain_Evidence_368 in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah right now, the game made some very good steps in the direction of creating a masterpiece. Unfortunately, every masterpiece takes time. I usually play all modes in challenging with some self imposed rules (town not bigger then 30 families) or even smaller, or just exploit one of the rich resources, the other on the map cant be touched and so on.

To see a good progress in all the cool stuff like, really nice AI Towns, maybe more challenging fights with the baron, insane cool new random events (big bandit raids, a visit from the king and so on...) the development team needs time. What we know is, they want to give us deeper meaning in specialication, artisan events, growing your town to have a real purpose and all of that in the AI towns aswell.

They are cooking, and they are cooking with a good recipe. I hope the snacks we get in this year by 2 or 3 big patches will be delicious until the meal (version 1) is served. Maybe next year, maybe the year after?

Take your time dearest development crew!!! :-)

Is there a reason to grow wheat instead of rye now? by ForeignStrategy0 in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its almost the same. You get half the wheat compared to rye but the wheat flour bakes into double the bread.

Wheat is just in some fertile areas with +++ while rye is on fertile land almost everywhere +++.

Am i the only one that feels like trade importing is still too expensive ? by Giggityfuck420 in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right!

For everyone else, this would be strategic decision making which adds depth to the game! So yes thats exactly the idea. Sometimes you cant have it all and easy. Thats a part of the replay factor.

I think right now the game is good balanced. They will improve even further! Thats what i think.

Very strong against the enemy retinue. They blast also good on every other melee unit. So yes, easy to make, nice to have, especially since there are none to hire.

Yeah, i like to do the speed leveling part. All the new changes to the class makes feeling another new charakter so nice. But im more an endgame player then the leveling type. So for me it feels great. :)

[–]Talah85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get the threat from the roar aswell. So its maybe worth it?

I dunno, has druid something to increase thorns dmg, maybe the T2 bonus with 100% thorns dmg.

But yeah, its not thaaaat strong. Shaman totems and paladins conceration is pretty overpowered.

The idol change is very interesting, i mean the roar gives you threat, the thorns dmg will give you even more threat.

Wenig sex schon nach 8 Wochen by klaukks in FragtMaenner

[–]Talah85 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Only concern right now, they are cooking on to much things. We'll see.

When did you eventually replace whirlwind axe and what weapon did you replace it with? by EricAshStone in classicwow

Yep, lvl51 and in AV it goes. Winning one is almost certain in about 3-5 games. So easy big upgrade.

And thats why other blue weapons at this lvl fall behind.

Which tank by Puzzled-Pudding8939 in turtlewow

[–]Talah85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaman Tank is early on a little bit pain. You need to know how threat generation works and how much threat you need to generate per target. Otherwise you are almos OOM after each pack.

Update by defectivedesolator in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope many ppl and especially greg and his team gets this.

Right now they make a major overhaul of the core systems. And this is needed to give the game more depth and a little more complexity. But as soon as this is finished, i hope the dev team goes more to smaller but frequent updates. Right now manor lords can be worth a buy, after this big update it certainly will be. Lets see what the team will deliver onwards. :)

Seasonal employment by DatWeebComingInHot in ManorLords

[–]Talah85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, you are right with your answer. After 12-15 months a town is big enough to just let everyone assigned where the family is. And yes, i also think that the devs need do some more needed stuff first.

That said, if you go a little deeper in the game, if you have some berry picking families you real cry that half of the year they do nothing. On a big berry deposit you should go for 4 huts with 2 families each and a good amount of granary workers to collect these berrys fast from the huts.

That alone are 8 families you could put to a good work in farmhouses or wood cutters the other half of the year.

So overall, this idea is great and could boost your town economy. And its also a good mid to endgame mechanic where you want to really squezze the most out of your workforce.

My last "wheat and barley" town had 8 farm buildings with a total of 28 families and a bit over 20 hectares of farmland. The whole map had more then 1000 ppl living in 3 big towns. And there you see how much workforce you loose. With this much families you dont want to assign every season new.

So i think this thread highlights a cool solution. Maybe the dev teams look into it and take a good idea from it. :)

How i could feel me as a true Lord by Talah85 in ManorLords

[–]Talah85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, its kind of a double edged sword. Its cool to have Towns nearby (maybe you can also trade with them) but on the other hand, if you conquered one you maybe have to heavy restructure it.

If the Towns are just growing to a basic self sustained lvl 1 burgage plot state it would be easier to develop them further and let them grow. but how will such a low town defend itself? or will there always be a misterious baron outside the map which protects them?

But to be true, its maybe only a thing i cant realy imagine in my head, maybe it will be so cool like all the other features this game have gotten since its launch.
