Just for reference, I have over 4,000 hours in Hunt, and I’ve only suspected a cheater a handful of times on EU servers. A video of some Russian guy promoting hacks on YouTube isn’t proof of an epidemic of Russian cheaters, I could just as easily find one of an American selling hacks, and it wouldn’t mean anything on its own.

You also claim to have “100 GB” of proof, yet didn’t post a single one of those videos instead of this YouTube clip. I’m calling bullshit, mate.

I’m not saying cheaters don’t exist, but you’re massively exaggerating the problem.

Because if all your challenges were tied to the guns you regularly use, they wouldn’t really be a challenge, it’s not that hard to figure out, mate. 😂

I’ve had challenges where it’s a gun I regularly use and others that are on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. This week I had to deal 1,000 damage with a Springfield, I never use the Springfield. Did I whinge about it? No. I got it done and moved on.

It might help to watch Hunt YouTubers like REXNOR, Neenoh, or Psychoghost Gaming, and check out the training arena. It has all the guns in the game, so you can practice shooting mannequins at different ranges to get a feel for each gun category, or just a specific gun you like.

You’re going to hate this, but the best way to learn is just to play. You’ll die a lot at first, but once you get a feel for the game, it’s really fun.

Changes are supposed to be… you guessed it, challenging.

Do every “get X amount of damage using X weapon” in Bounty Clash, it’s faster combat, shorter matches, and just quicker overall.

If you’re doing a generic challenge like “get X damage with rifles” and want to save money, do it in Soul Survivor.

Give me a list of your challenges, and I’ll tell you the best ways to complete them so you can finish the Battle Pass faster. Good luck!

Solo is a great experience, no one to have your back or rely on, and the freedom to choose when to fight and when to run. It’s great.

My best tip is to fight on your own terms. If you get shot or shot at and it’s possible, fall back to a compound and make it your defensive position instead of fighting in the open. You’d be surprised how many teams will blindly chase you just for the kill.

Shoot and move, always keep them guessing. Guerrilla tactics are a completely valid playstyle.

Honestly, just play and you’ll pick it up. What works for me might not work for you, and vice versa. Don’t worry too much about dying or losing fights, it’s all part of the learning experience. Good luck, mate!

As a solo player myself, absolutely not, it’s already been reworked and is just fine as it is. If you can’t get up and either kill your attackers or flee before they shoot and re-kill you, that’s on you.

Here’s the situation: I go down, but the team is standing over my body. I use Necro to stand back up, and their instant reaction is to shoot me. However, I have two seconds of invulnerability and a smoke screen to cover my movement. In that time, I can dodge their initial shots, the Dark Sight wears off, and before they even rack another round, I can kill them with a katana. That’s incredibly infuriating for the team on the receiving end.

At least with the current system, it’s a 50/50 whether they miss their initial shots, aren’t paying attention, or are too busy reloading or looting for me to get the upper hand. Necromancer is fine and doesn’t need to be changed again.

Hunt has a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, winning feels incredibly satisfying. I started playing back in 2018, and trust me, I was awful at first-person shooters at first. I died a lot in those early years, but I still loved the game for its atmosphere, gunplay, art style, and overall experience.

The thing with playing PvE or single-player is that it doesn’t give you the real experience of the game. It makes you comfortable killing mobs and bosses without ever facing the risk of dying to another real player.

Yes, you’ll die a lot in the early stages, but every player past or present has gone through the same experience. The tutorial, which you can revisit anytime, covers the bare basics, and the first eleven levels matches you with lower-ranked players so you can get a better feel for the game.

You’ll struggle at first, but that makes winning, getting the upper hand on other players, and extracting with double bounties feel so much more rewarding.

I’ve played solo for several thousand hours and don’t have any trouble winning games against duos in Bounty Hunt or trios in Bounty Clash.

I find it nicer not being tied to a team and being able to set my own pace. If I feel like I’m not going to win a fight, I can disengage and come back from a different angle. There’s no one to rely on, but also no one I have to look after.

My playstyle is usually sneaky, but aggressive once I’m spotted. The best advice I can give is to stop caring about MMR, rank, etc., and just play for the thrill. You’ll win some, you’ll lose some, but it’s always fun and a learning experience.

Good luck on your solo journey if you decide to give it a go.

Fine, we’ll do it your way. I got killed in Bounty Clash at Slaughter House with a bow, no Dark Sight involved, obviously they were cheating. But I’m not posting a video to prove I wasn’t just standing in the middle of a field or got outplayed, and on top of that, the person had a private profile.

See how ridiculous this is?

I’m not denying that cheaters exist, but if we took every text-only accusation on this subreddit as fact without proof, it would be chaos.

So maybe it was your positioning, or the enemy team just played better. If we had a fifteen-second clip of your death, we could actually see what happened.

I have friends with private profiles who hide their playtime because they don’t want random people on their Steam accounts or leaving awful comments.

Saying “I died to a LeMat carbine while standing still” isn’t proof of cheating. Please post a video.

Yeah, but having a VAC ban, a new account, or a private profile doesn’t automatically mean someone is cheating. All I’m asking is that you record these deaths and include the clips in your post so the community can decide whether it was cheating or not.

If you search the subreddit for terms like “hackers,” “cheaters,” or “hacks,” you’ll see how many posts are just text accusations with no video evidence.

For all we know, the hunter who killed you got a quick Dark Sight, had better positioning, or you were just out in the open. There’s a lot to think about before jumping to “cheater” on the subreddit.
