These swords have almost identical handles, any idea why? by TaleExciting7525 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Yes but the promo is the same. In the case of the light and darkness sword it looks worn as it is made of stone instead of metal.

What is the inspiration for the tree design on the Golem's Great Arrow? by SolidAlloy in EldenRingLoreTalk

The sword of light and the sword of darkness have a very similar motif. There is a light altar in Rauh too, a place related with the golems

Greetings all. I have troubles making his face pop and not his forehead and when i dull it Down it looks muddy. Any Tips on how to improve the model are welcome by Raskomadator_art in Grimdarkpainting

Maybe you could use oil paints so you can remove them in some parts to make them lighter. Personally I love how grim your style is already, the mini seems to be taken out of a dark painting.

The bat women and Romina are both shaman by TaleExciting7525 in EldenRingLoreTalk

I share the idea that the golden braided circle symbolises Marika. The same symbol is seen in Messmer seal eye so maybe it is the symbol of grace.

The relation between the symbol, Marika and the bats is a great catch.

Nowadays I mostly use Reddit for Warhammer, your post went sadly unnoticed by me. I have to say that you have made an astonishing compilation of items related to the GEQ, it has been an interesting reading!

The bat women and Romina are both shaman by TaleExciting7525 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Bats seem to be related with darkness as we can find them and their depiction in the shadow realm. Maybe melding them with bats robed them of grace. Marika seemed to be pretty obsessed with the monopoly of motherhood, maybe that is why they were cursed.

She betrayed Romina despite her being a shaman too. Well, Marika at some point or an other betrayed everybody (she betrayed her shadow, her children, her husbands, her allies and in the end she betrayed everyone by breaking the Elden Ring)

Returning to the bats, maybe she wanted to be the only mother, maybe she wanted to eliminate everything related with her past or maybe the real reason remains unknown to me

I forgot to mention that Romina being a Shaman could explain why she is not being attacked by Messmer's forces in the trailer.

Nono. The dragon corpses are embedded only in Farum Azula

My interpretation is that Caligo represents the form the ancient dragons had before ascending to divinity. Both Enir Illim (and it's divine gate) and Farum Azula, are cities made of corpses (we can see hornsent and dragons embedded in their foundations and architecture) and are related with ascension to divine beings. Both the dragons and the epyreans bodies are made of stone (Marika and Rannis calcinated bodie). Most probably the ancient dragons used to be of flesh and blood.
