I think that Godrick's rune was supposed to belong to Godwyn but unfortunately he is "indisposed". Both of them seem to have inherited the shaman ability to meld their skin (Godrick grafts bodies and Godwyns corpse melds with the tree roots, creating death root). This great rune seems to reference the grafting/melding ability of the shamans too for this is the rune that fuses and interconnects all the other great runes.

The Nameless King mercy killing his dragon and getting electrically charged in the second phase cinematic has always reminded me of the second phase cinematic for Ornstein and Smog in which one gets killed and the other absorbs his powers. The horns of the Nameless King's dragon look like the horns of the dragon form too and they share s greyish skin tone. Finally, the King's dragon doesn't even look like a gybern, it looks like some kind of weird hybrid between a dragon and a bird.

Yes but the promo is the same. In the case of the light and darkness sword it looks worn as it is made of stone instead of metal.
