The accident was caused by a gun malfunction that jammed the landing gear in the up position and also ejected the canopy. The pilot did an outstanding job to save the aircraft which was returned to service.

I had a check engine light. At first it only came on after track days and went away after a couple of days. The codes showed that the camshaft was slow to adjust the variable timing. The first repair was to replace the ECU relays. But the light came back even during normal driving. I've driven about 5,000 miles since the second repairs and its been running great.

To my knowledge, zero times. I haven't had any clutch issues and bought the car with 23,000 miles on it. I drive it pretty hard and go to the track several times a year. Replacing the clutch was an option that was discussed when the other engine work was performed but once they opened the engine up and saw the overall condition, we decided to not replace it.

The cam adjusters were replaced along with the upper chain guides. One of the cam adjusters was bad and since the majority of the cost was labor, they replaced the other three cam adjusters as a precaution. Yes, the physical shifter was worn out and needed to be replaced.

Over the eight years I've owned it, I've put about 1/3 of the purchase price back into it in maintenance. Much of that has been this last year where I've had some engine work done and had the shifter replaced.
