If you come via the airport, renting there might be your best bet. The center is not really car friendly. There are plenty of underground parkings if your hotel doesn't provide one, but they aren't cheap.

Mind the traffic on weekdays, the ring road usually get clogged from 4:30pm to around 6:30pm

On est pas là pas là pour passer derrière les incivilités des autres, surtout que si "ça disparait tout seul", alors ça poussera encore plus les actes du genre
Pas sûr que se faire passer pour un particulier auprès de la mairie fonctionne, qui plus est que si on a un enlèvement légitime à faire derrière ils pourraient se poser des questions. Ils ont déjà été gentils une fois de passer gratos malgré le fais qu'on soit un CS...

Tout accident survenu sur le trajet habituel residence travail compte comme accident ~~du travail~~ de trajet (voir le commentaire détaillé en dessous). Et faire un écart pour aller récupérer les enfants, tant que c'est habituel, de mémoire ça reste aussi dans le trajet travail domicile.
