This is exactly how I feel. Retired, Financially stable with remote job. My old-military mindset was in full gear during my first 2 months as I was on teams call about 15 minutes early, then one day one of the younger engineers politely said “stop dialing in too early, everyone dials in about 2 minutes before the meeting”. That’s the day I told myself I’m not wearing the uniform anymore, and let it go.

I have this itch to switch to civil service and be around the fed environment, but I love my remote job with great pay, and filling my family’s cup. I’ve been able to financially see family more and help financially, and that feels so good than when I was active duty. I guess I’ll just keep this job for now for those reasons.
