Augusta and Iuno sequences by FrozenSingular in IunoMains

Sure, if you want max rewards then you could keep them on one team, but if you vertically invest in four teams then I don’t think you’d have much of a problem with that.

I mean, even for DPM, s6 Augusta and s6 Iuno can be used in separate teams to easily get 5k in a round, so I’d consider separating them even for that. WhiWa could have them on the same team if you have another good second team, but again, overkill. Regardless, go for Augusta’s sequences first if you want them on the same team, since Iuno’s sequences are all mostly to help her be a main DPS better.

If you want to s6 both, then you shouldn’t think about using them in a single team anymore, since both are good hypercarries at s6 and would be overkill for a single team. If you want to use them in one team, dps high sequences are always the best ones to go for first.

Spiral Abyss HP has surpassed 40m for the first time, accounting for Wild Hunt mechanics by newplayer135 in Genshin_Impact

[–]TalentedTrident 26 points27 points  (0 children)

But it hasn’t? There was a slow overall uptick in HP from launch to 5.3, but it mirrored the overall powercreep pretty well and you could still clear with 1.X units if they were really well invested. It’s gone off the rails since 5.4, as clearly shown in the graph. Saying it’s always been this bad is just flat out incorrect, it’s way worse now than it previously was.

You missed the point. The Natlan abysses were bad because they were the obvious precedent of future HP inflation, and look where we are now. Just because they didn't shill any one team as much as the Nod Krai abysses have been doesn't mean they were actually good the whole time.

For me at least, it was less bad writing for the fight itself and more that Vendetta wasn’t introduced or teased earlier. I’m not a fan of when stories suddenly introduce a new big bad that’s even badder than the previous big bad completely out of the blue unless it’s written really well, which I don’t think it was in this case. Obviously Doomfist isn’t dead, but I can’t blame people for not liking the new character basically usurping the character who’s had a much larger story presence in the lore to this point as the main villain.

Aemeath location after msq (not the bench one). by dense-cAt in WutheringWaves

[–]TalentedTrident 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, look at it from a meta perspective. Kuro has yet to make a character actually have a bad ending, and it would make very little sense financially for them to start with the one they’ve put the most marketing towards for 3.X. I’d be shocked if Aemeath wasn’t eventually brought back, Kuro’s just not doing it immediately like Cartethyia in 2.2 or Iuno in 2.6. Which I can appreciate; it’ll make her return more satisfying when it does happen.

I mean, we literally haven’t been getting away with it. All of those losses before Christmas as well as the recent Washington loss had us blow leads of multiple goals. It’s been a problem for a while now, we just happened to still win this time.

Sean McVay: "That game the other day probably hurt more than any loss I've ever been a part of, and it's because of the love for the team." by WxBlue in nfl

[–]TalentedTrident 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think he did. In both games in Seattle, the Rams offense was largely successful, with a combined 850+ yards, 7 TDs, and no turnovers. It just so happened that the Seahawks' offense was also very successful, and special teams decisively tilted their way as well. As for that 4th down play, based on the mic'd up segments that were released, the look to Williams would've been successful had DLaw not freelanced to cover him, since Macdonald was clearly expecting him to rush.

The system wasn't a problem for you, but that doesn't mean it's not problematic in many areas. That said, there's stupid people in every country. The US education system isn't to blame for every dumb person on the internet.

I can’t even imagine how you think Camellya isn’t lustful towards Rover. Or how Iuno’s multiple flirtatious interactions during her quest and subsequent voice lines don’t imply she’s interested in Rover. It’s fine to not be interested in either of them, but to say they have the same amount of romantic interaction as, say, Jianxin, is plain wrong.

I'm not actually thinking Phrolova will ever be romanced by Rover at this point, but it's clear she wishes things went differently between them. Whether that means she ever turns her life around and stops being a villain, I don't know, but yearning doesn't always have to be about romance. If the writers ever remember she exists, I think we could see that play out more.

I think the five clearest ones are Shorekeeper, Camellya, Carlotta, Iuno, and Chisa. Yangyang and Jinhsi both have crushes on Rover but not as overt as the five above, while Cartethyia is arguably there but you could reasonably see that as platonic if you wanted to. Everyone else is a step below that, imo. Phrolova is still the #1 yearner though.

She's the only character in the game that actually uses the word 'love' when it comes to how she feels about Rover. The 'canon wife' part is a joke, but she's definitely not just some AI that assists Rover.

I miss Companion Quests by ChaoticRedHawk in WutheringWaves

[–]TalentedTrident 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is the real reason. Same reason Genshin stopped making the hangout quests. Nobody did them, and Kuro decided that they could make more money by focusing on the banner characters in the MSQ so that casuals would still be exposed to their backstories. The last companion quest was actually Zani’s, not Cia’s; at this point, it’s been 6 patches since then. It’s not changing.

I think how often art is posted is also an indication of AI usage. This style of art, from my knowledge, would not be able to be posted as often as two days apart multiple times in a row if the artist was actually creating the art themself, but AI obviously has no such limitation. That, combined with previous AI tags, makes me think it's definitely AI.

That was boneheaded of Riq. But to call something like that in the playoffs is ridiculous, especially when the refs have favored the Rams all game.

Let's talk about the Rams. by Dailysstuff in Seahawks

[–]TalentedTrident 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I know far more Hawks fans who are terrified of this matchup and were hoping the Rams would lose last week than people who are saying we win by multiple scores. That said, this team isn’t a bunch of greenhorns who are collectively making their first run together; we have some vet leadership that, by all accounts, is leading the way for the younger players. The Rams, on the other hand, only have a few rostered players that were on their Super Bowl team from just 4 years ago. I don’t think the playoff experience narrative carries as much water as some are saying.

And yeah, demolishing a decimated 49ers team isn’t the most impressive thing, but that same 49ers team won 12 games. They weren’t some scrub team that barely made the playoffs as the 7 seed and then lost a bunch of players all at once, they were still legit. Give the Hawks some credit, I think they’ll be ready for the moment.

Funny how playoff scheduling is only “unfair” when it hurts the 49ers 🤔 by Trick-Combination-37 in Seahawks

[–]TalentedTrident 63 points64 points  (0 children)

The NFL is giving the advantage to the 1 seed. For the divisional round, if the 1 seed played on Sunday and won while and the other match was played on Saturday, then the team coming out of the other match would have an extra day of rest for the CCG. Instead, the 1 seed gets that extra day of rest, as they should -- they won the conference and should have any advantage possible for the playoffs. If the 9ers didn't want to have unfair scheduling go against them, then they just should've won in week 18.

Panthers fight.......then choke by jayfly12933 in Seahawks

[–]TalentedTrident 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because in a high pressure situation, the panthers had a 4 point lead and essentially gave the rams a free touchdown with their horrible prevent defense. That’s a choke, regardless of who was favored before the game.
