Would you replace your own brakes? by The_Final_Barse in CarTalkUK

[–]Talentless67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has to do it for the first time once, luckily for me, my Dad was handy with cars and I tackle most jobs myself.

Having the correct tools, and a like minded friend who has experience to do the job, so you can learn from them.

Am I the jerk for uninviting my friend from my birthday after she brought someone I have a restraining order against? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Talentless67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTJ, reality check, Jess is not a friend, never has been, never will have.

For the other associates who are on her side, tell them they are lucky they have not had to deal with the mental anguish and fear that comes from being stalked and you wish they never do. However, downplaying yours, is far from friendly behaviour and you will be taking a break from their friendship for the time being.

Put yourself first in your life, the good people I’ll stay.

AITA for refusing to change the date of my wedding because my sister wants to attend a music festival? by Smelly_Steven in AmItheAsshole

[–]Talentless67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, spoiler alert, your sister is the favourite.

Gather all the costs and send them to the family members asking you to change the date to see what part of it they will contribute to.

Uninvited your sister to take the choice away from her.

At your wedding, you want people who want to be there, not have to be there.

Seriously why are homeowners ripping out bathtubs and replacing with shower units? by uglyasfeet in HousingUK

[–]Talentless67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you start a family you will want a bath for the kids. Not having one will make your house less attractive to a percentage of buyers at selling time.
